Lady Vanishes, because it's one of my favorite Hitchcock films.. and also I expect it will vanish.

Very interested in this mod.. is it generally considered stable at this point for DF 0.47.05?

... now the new outpost runs on 25 visual fps, still pretty bad...
I chuckle at myself when I see people complain about slow fps; i intentionally cap my at 25 because i like to watch my dwarves' little lives.
EDIT: realized you're talking about graphical fps, so never mind. what i said is still true, but doesn't apply here.

I assume participation would require some higher end machines?

Tilesets and Graphics / Re: Retro Tilesets: Pawn64

I play DF 0.47.05, so I do not know if it works well with later version.
Making it was fun, so I plan on doing a few other old computers over the next year.

It don't work well. The menus looks weirdly stretched with black spaces between the tiles, but this is a problem caused by the demands on the steam versions. You tile set is very cool and the 0.47.5 version is my preferred, thank you for sharing =D . The best tile size that fits with 50.xx for now is 160x192 (10x12), so I've made a 10x12 tile set also with old school art style that fits 47.05 and 50.xx, take a look =)

very nice. thanks; the look of your's is successful. I especially like the hooded figure.

Tilesets and Graphics / Retro Tilesets: Pawn64
« on: December 16, 2023, 06:42:05 pm »
So, I made a tileset for myself and realized I should share it here.
Growing up with the Commodore 64, I wanted something that had that feeling but took advantage of multiple values of colors and a little half-pixel shading to make things more immediately readable.
So the intention is heavily-inspired by but not necessarily authentic.
I also drew inspiration from Cheepicus, which was my favorite before making my own.
