Or, you can give the military dwarves bedrooms with storage like chests and coffers, and in theory they should put stuff that belongs to them away. Also, most of the time giving your dwarves shields to train with will greatly reduce the amount of clothing lying around.

I actually like aboveground farming more than underground farming. For one thing, you can fertilize the plots with no trouble, plus if you have "all dwarves harvest" on, you can partially defeat cave adaption for everybody.

Yeah, megabeasts seem to get pretty beat up during world gen now. It's one of the goals of the next version to enable them to still have killing power.

This was a new one to me. This fort has them eating only turtles, 300 of them bought on embark. (For the shells.)
Actually that thought is pretty new to everyone, I believe it was put it with the newest version. It was mostly because of plump helmets, I think.

Also, to answer the first question it's possible to link limitless objects to one lever. It's just not always a great idea.

I've actually seen super invisible items like that too where my dwarves were grabbing goblin clothing out of thin air. I think the stuff still appears in the stock menu though.

There has been a few reports of stuff like that happening with the newest version. Hopefully it'll all be cleared up with the next release.

Uh, that spoiler picture is broken. Anyways, it's excellent that the queen has come, hopefully she will actually be able to help the fort out in some way. Also, you should kill the annoying nobles by throwing them off the tower somehow.

On a related note, sometimes nobles can change the price of food and prepared meals to levels where everything is 75% off. Thus even poor dwarves can afford gourmet food.

It's impossible to trade artifacts. Thus, they don't even show up in the trading screen.

They're friendly because the goblins are at peace with your dwarven civilization. There are ways to make sure that you are at war with them.
