The impression I got and keep getting is that the devs have no clue what they're doing at this point, and just want all of this to be over.

Which shows that this is equally a lesson for devs wondering about doing a Kickstarter as it is for players wanting to fund one.

Hype is hella work, especially if you want to do a thing professionally.

Huh, I was going to say "Actually, they literally do have a roadmap" but it looks like they took that off their website. Some time after the Kickstarter, I guess?

As to the "Novakids start with guns" topic: might be interesting. If Novakids can't make melee weapons you either have a broken experience (guns are too weak/too strong) or a different experience and an incentive to be friends with people playing other races. I wonder what you could add/change to give the other races distinct niches?

Given what they have to deal with when they get a direct Overseer, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they preferred Goblin masters.

So, ultra-newbie question: how do I put points into AP/MP/reach/... anything except Strength/Intelligence/Chance/Agility, HP, and initiative, basically? Are they only unlocked after a certain level or something? I tried Googling, but most of the results were for the slightly higher level question of where to put points.

And, uh, player name is slithyTove, if that's relevant, but I'm not settled on an actual character yet. :x

This is actually really fun! It seems like some of the artifacts aren't as clear as they could be? Like, greed doubles the cost...when you cast it, which makes the spell description deceptive. On the opposite side of things, hoard doesn't change the spell description at all but *does* boost damage. There was also a phase where all my spells were displaying reduced damaged, but I might have been under a debuff and not noticed. Still having a lot of fun asploding things.

I've been getting increasingly bothered with the unfinished main cavern cealing every time I look at it.
Does anyone have ideas for finishing it?
Personally I would like to do a simple dome, hagia Sofia style, starting with a hemispherical dome centered slightly closer to the dale entrance than to the other side, the bottom rim punctuated by openings containing netherrack torches. Then pendentives leading to simple arches which line up with the preexisting  main walls, except on the longer axises, which would have half domes of whatever diameter looks best. This whole design would need some careful planning and a shitton of stone bricks and I think accentuated with netherbrick.
Edit: also I haven't been able to log in for the last few hours, is anyone else having problems?

As per that, why not complain that all the races are bipedal humanoids? Why is everyone fixating on the breasts? Freud would probably have a field day. It's not like this is or ever was meant to be hard sci-fi. Its simply the simplest easiest way to convey gender at a glance in such a limited media

To me, it looks weird because the Glitch know they're not organic, right? And aren't their horses robotic, too? So it's deliberately ugly, fine, that's an art choice. But it's weird for it to be organic when all the Glitch artwork that we see is inorganic. (see: The Vitruvian Man homage)

Some old posts from the subreddit a year ago suggest it's been disabled for economic reasons. Not going to poke around for more details, but it looks like Iron Golem's aren't disabled, though. So the three uses of villagers are ambiance, mob bait, and robots.

It might be good for if A HORRIBLE TRAGEDY befell your overseer/s?

Will sufficiently mad workers plot to remove their overseers? Either to get promotions or as part of a communist revolution?

...in the later case, could this lead to a monarchist counter-revolution?
