x4000, I have to say its amazing to see how fast you reply to topics that arent on your forum. ;)
I actutally mentioned on his forum that I resurrected this thread.  ;)
And yes, I already updated through the auto updater. Now you said that 1.301 was free, is 2.0 not?

2.0 is 100% free.

Spend a bit more time looking around for a corp with mature people. I haven't had that problem with any but the first of the corporations that I've been in.
Most mature corps I have seen are so serious that it literally is a second job. :(

I just happened upon the corp I played with. Good, mature, fun, not too demanding corp. Turned out later that they enforced an age requirement for entry (like 18), but had neglected to even ask me as they thought I was about 30 years older than the 14 years old I was at the time due to my awesome command over the English language   ;D

My biggest complaint against EVE is the stating system. With the current system, I really have no way to ever get even close to older players' level of skill, which sucks. You basically are doomed to be a third-class player from the moment you step into the game till the end of forever.
Early in the game's life (like when I played) this was not so much of a problem, as the gap was usually not years. Now though, I think that this would be a problem. Maybe there needs to be a new player bonus for skill point gain, or diminishing returns for the older players? (there already is diminishing returns due to the increase cost of skills for the same numerical bonus though). Overall though, I really loved the skill system of Eve.

Another thing that annoys me is the 15$/month price, but since this is the normal price for big MMOs, its probably just me being stingy.
While I played I bought my game time in 3 month increments ($40 every 3 months). Saved me a couple bucks. I did end up leaving for monetary reasons though. As a high school student, I only got $20 a month in allowance. I left because I decided I wanted to save my money for other things, and buy and play some other games. The game had not lost its appeal, and it hurt to leave. But I have not returned yet (though I have yet to have an income where I could anyways   ::) )

I am resurrecting this thread because I am still playing this great game even today. This is not a game where the novelty wears off fast and you regret buying it. The total polar opposite of that feeling, I love this game, I am still playing it, still enjoying it. I see no end to the fun I can have with it.

I am very excited, as the 2.0 release of the game, and its release on Steam, are going to happen within the week  :o

I forgot to tell how I love meteors. We need more things like this. I.e. volcano eruptions, caveins and randomly appearing caves during an earthquake.

Heck yeah! Those would be awesome  8)

Man, I used to play this game back in the day. Best MMORPG out there, period.

I vote that a player that goes missing has 1 week. At the end of that week their empire is given to a player on the waiting list. Also, it prevent any arguments after the fact, this transfer is permanent.

Alright, I'm having problems in single player.

In the mission stronghold, after the third wave get through and another ship decides to come in, it crashes. All the time. I got text once, but thats it. Is this normal?

No, that is not normal. Back up your ships and sprites and reinstall.

Impressive. Am I correct in assuming the railgun is modified from stock by making the bullet sprite longer and red-colored?

Yeah basically. I used the fraxy_blast_red sprite for it. I didn't really make it longer than normal.

I have managed to procure myself a rare and a rare+ from the space debris. Worth quite a lot of money these two items are. Is there anyone in the fleet with notorious that can sell these for me?
