I'm okay with it if we copper it.

Revise Dover-class brig into Yorktown-class brig

Replace the two 6-pdr by two 8-pdr Van Karsten, with some cast iron brazier positioned next to them for carcass shots. Copper the hull to make it fast, add pintle-mounted Coombe mini-cannons on the sides, increase the masts and sails size. The resulting ship should have slightly more firepower than the Dover while being much faster.
To speed things up +1. It is still not a warship and looks too expensive for a dedicated trader role but I think we can win American contranct with it.

I prefer to keep it simple and relatively cheap:

Revise Dover class brig into Montgomery class brig
Improve sails to make faster. Remove 6 pounders. Add one forward facing 8 pounder. Add firing positions for Coombe mini-cannons. Add marine infantry quarters. Add few dories.

I want a trading\axualary ship that is cheap, swift enough to run away, hard to board and capable to board itself. Roles are: trading, rading unescorted traders, doing small scale landings.

This game is a puzzle. Player needs to help a group of cute babies to get to the exit by altering the terrain while they blindly go forward.

So, this game is like lemmings. I loved lemmings on my first PC and should have enjoyed one of its succesors, right? Problem is that this game is way too easy. I finished first 20 levels (out of 100) in 25 minutes and a crawling "fastforward" function took most of the time.

All 20 levels were some kind of bridge building by using I, T and L tetris pieces. BTW, whoever did this game should know that players expect to rotate pieces with the mousewheel instead of being forced to use keyboard+mouse combo.

Visuals are cute. Music isn't annoying. Story doesn't exist.

Also, I do think that we need switch two mobile 6 pounders to one nose 8 pounder to make the ship lighter

I want a fast and hard to board brig. Coppering doesn't help this.

I prefer to focus on speed and adapting it to 8lbs cannons + coopers + maybe adding marine infantry quarters.

Added steam library to real-time scanner exceptions. I do hope that Steam have better antivirus software than my PC.

Uniform overhaul final proposal and my vote goes here
Nation-wide overhaul of uniform. Infantry gets brand new helmets, boots, optional simple short swords and green uniforms. Cavalry gets  cuirasses, helmets, holsters for pistols, optional lances and blue uniforms. Military horses get barding, new improved saddles, horseshoes and other stuff. Sailors get their own grey uniform suited for their tasks. Marine infantry gets holsters similar to cavalry, boarding axes and black uniform. Priorities are: new comfortable and practical uniforms, then new armor, then additional melee weapons


Yes, I decided to add to the action. Remember that Victoria users have no bayonets and it is a problem.

They weren't so - change all branches of army style.

And design action worked better than revision.

I don't want to use revision on uniforms because there are too much new stuff. Revision is more fitting for doing stuff for infantry only or for cavalry only. + I want good uniforms. Better add more changes. Or remove armour parts and go for  textile industry steam engine focused action with addition of new uniforms.

I dislike howitzer because it is just an attempt to copy our opponent, while I'd like to have advantages in other fields, like being more mobile.

Resources stuff is definitely a revision material and I really want to spend it on a faster trader\raider ship.

Designing a new gunboat around 8 pounder is a viable course of action for this turn, but we  got navyphobes in this thread.

And thunderbolt dart rifle is some overengineered monster

IF gunpowder was a resource than air powered stuff would be much more interesting.

I am interested in 2 pounder artillery but on other hand we our revolving muskets to partially fill this role. Spending design action on uniform overhaul allows us too keep improving

Removed attempt to squeeze a steam engine out of the action. Added marine infantry. Considered adding short swords to victoria armed soldiers, lances to cavalry and boarding axes to marine infantry but I am afraid to overload the action.

Got an idea for a design action:

To ensure mass production of uniforms, develop industrial steam engines suited for the task

Yes, I try to stuff a lot of things in a single action... But we will not spend a design action to get a new helmet, right? And yes, it is a nice opportunity to get a steam engine.


What is our exotic commodity? I suggest exotic bird that doesn't exist IRL, but we need someone with writing\artistic skills
