Hrm... Brand new player here but I keep getting a server busy message when I try to log into the game. Does it not put new people into queue?

So I've got a treasure trove asking for some dragon armor. Can it be any type of dragon armor or does it have to be from the default dragon?

I've been trying Troll Wizards. Yes, Troll Wizards. It's like being a troll monk, except you also get spells! It's surprisingly decent.

EDIT: Which deity is better for a deep elf conjurer? Sif Muna or Vehumet?

Depends. With Sif, you get channeling (so you don't run out of MP as often), tons of spellbooks eventually, and miscast protection (in case for some reason you like casting spells when not at very good success rates). Vehumet eventually gives you all the conjuration and summoning books, including the Book of Annihilations, increases range of conjurations, increasing success rates of damaging/summoning spells, lowers the cost of high-level conjurations, and gives you MP on kills... I think that's it, anyway. Sif Muna's piety is easier to increase than Vehumet's and slower to decrease, as well.

Generally, I go Sif if I'm more of a generalist spellcaster (which a Deep Elf can very easily become) and Vehumet if I'm really focusing on direct-damage spells. Either is a good choice.

I tried both Sif Muna and Vehumet on two separate kenku air elementalists and for me Vehumet's piety was easier to raise. Sif Muna's depends on raising your skills which is slower that straight up killing like you do with Vehumet. But ya for a conjurer Vehumet is probably your best bet.

Humm. Here's hoping Webtiles someday comes a bit closer to Tiles. I'm missing half the interface and it takes like .5 secs between every turn to move. Agh. I play it offline 4-5 hours a day yet I cant squeeze any time into the tourney because of how terrible it is. Is it just my internet? Do you guys with good net get no delay?

This was pretty much my situation right here, plus the fact that once the new webtiles finally did come out school was just about to start.

Put on the dex ring and see how it affects your EV and SH? You'll probably get a lot more out of the +8 AC. That's a lot of AC on a ring. In fact, I think that's an unrandart.

Well the +8 AC one is an artifact, though it doesn't have anything else. I wasn't entirely sure if dex might affect spellcasting at all like the hit chances for them or if that was only for physical ranged either. The other ring I'm wearing is a ring of magical power.

Hmm... What would be better for a caster, +8 AC or +6 dex? Trying to decide between two rings.

Cleaned the dust bunnies out of my desktop tower this morning which seems to have had the additional side effect of correcting some colors that recently changed shades for no reason.

Wheres the data for how dark the tiles are? I swear when I turned on my computer today and fired up Crawl the tiles are much darker than I recall...
Update:
After one restart it was still doing this so I waited till morning. After sleeping I went outside and cracked open my computer case to clean out the inside. Starting it up after that the tiles are their proper colors again. I might also point out a few other colors on different things (some websites) were darker as well so heres hoping that all of that was just a dirty interior.

edit: Hell maybe it'll solve my weird idle glitch as well.

Well the ring also has rPois, rN+, MR, and Dex +2. So the glow is not dangerous until it hits yellow?

I'm only at Dun 4 but I've already got two artifacts. To bad the really nice ring emits mutagenic radiation, that one will have to wait till I get something to resist it...
