Hello, I'm a representative of the Giecko people.  You are right about our being able to talk.  In fact, we have divined great wisdom over the years, the best of which we are willing to share with you.

Listen closely...

With that knowledge, you'd do well in the wasteland!

Solid answer, my LCS activities have been limited by the holiday season also.

Definitely want to reorganize the liberals on the review screen for many organization reasons, but mainly so my founder doesn't get shot EVERY SINGLE TIME the safehouse gets raided, simply because it is at the head of the liberal member list, and the head of the liberal member list is used automatically to fill any deaths during escapes from the safehouse.

I just have a quick suggestion. Really good recruiters should start people off with a couple juice, probably 10 max.

In a way, it is already implemented in that really good recruiters can recruit better people, and really good recruiters can recruit people who start with juice (Liberal Army Veterans are the prime example).

My vote's for Europe.  I hate fixed starts.  :P

Currently narrowing down the list of starting nations, will probably disclose after map selection.

By-the-by, we're going with stats on, right?  I want to play the metagame.

*In walks a giant man with a goatee.*

"Couldn't agree more, what you need is a dictatorship!"

*He proceeds to throw out all materials from all desks.*

"Sell all pistols!  Buy regular grenades!  Research Medkits!  Name your last recruits after the next two posters!  As soon as you capture alien tech, transfer 90% research to alien alloys, then armor!"

*He then goes over to a blackboard in the ready room to discuss tactics.*

Attack with a leap frog battleplan.  The first two recruits throw smokes near the Skyranger's exit.  They proceed, backed up by four other soldiers.  Every turn, two more recruits exit the skyranger.  Position your heavy weapons in the middle of the line up, with those recruits with 30+ strength.  Whenever someone kills an alien, they hold position and let fresh recruits get kills.

And buy a second storage facility and one alien containment unit.  Always keep one alien corpse, sell all others.  When alien guns outnumber ammo, sell guns till equal.

Good luck!

I'd suggest selling half the stock, and investing the proceeds into a company in a strong/growing industry.  Preferably start your own company in said industry.

How did those runthroughs end for you?

And yeah, intellegence is the only stat the founder can increase (unless the bug where liberals can use first aid to heal permanent injuries is still present, but I think that got edited out in the recent batch of upgrades).

Oceana or Atlantis...yuck (and what's the difference really?)

Belac was wise to chose R'lyeh.

Sounds good to me.

Yeah, The cursed mode is pretty tough.
In theory its possible to beat, if you raise your juice high enough then you would at least get half-decent stats, that would practically require save-summing though

I didn't realise though that you could just release the Sweetshop workers to get decent stats, still it makes the game alot harder

Not just Sweatshop workers.  Also prisoner and servants (servants are best as they can't be deported/have to defend against prison break charges if arrested).  And if labor laws are Arch-Conservative, those child workers you can free make great interrogators, better than even hippies!

EDIT: Oh, and make certain to select the "Dating a law student" selection, as it's the only way you can get a decent lawyer sleeper.

So the key to destroying the presidential line is an orgy.  ;D

With those not available for participation in the orgy getting seduced beforehand.

Just further proves that the prostitutes are the ultimate weapon in the LCS armory.

Actually, when I looked over maps to replace the Bering map, Pangea looked the best.  But I was afraid the water nations might not like how they are effectively barred from the interior until they reach land.  Land nations can really turtle against the water nations, making the center a tough nut to crack (unless, that center area is a warzone, and considering the lack of chokepoints, it is entirely likely).

Just out of curiousity, who is volunteering to play water nation?  I haven't committed to a nation yet (and won't until we get ironed out exactly what's happening) but it won't be a water nation.

15719
That's a pretty good point, but the map you suggested only has 7 starting locations, thus we all know exactly where to attack on turn one for victory.  Seems a little too blunt strategically to me.

You'll be forcing me to play Himmon or something, as opposed to sneaky Man or Pangea, for example.

Also consider this: If all I need to do is capture 4 capitals for 3 turns, land civilizations never need to enter the water!  Why bother with that when you can capture the capitals of your land neigbors, leaving the toughest alone!

Have fun E. Albright!

Before I continue, I'd really like to hear from the other players.  If everyone else is in love with Bering and 4 capital 3 turns, I'll shut up and adapt.

Considering my intent to play a civilization that doesn't rely on capital-only units, I'm against this victory condition.  I'm very tempted to play a civilization that has no capital-only units, and treating the capital as just another fort.  Requiring my capital to remain out of enemy hands for more than 3 turns (and considering it won't be heavily guarded, its capture is likely) will seriously hamper my abilities.

Controlling 4 capitals for 3 turns just doesn't sound like a "truly dominant board position".  Course, I'm a veteran of the LCS boards, so the idea of gurrilla warfare intruges me to no end.

The other problem is that it requires players to constantly inform others of the status of their fortress.

Just let it be said I really hate this victory condition, and hope some respect for fellow players will be had.
