This is just my gaming habits or opinions and I might not be the intended audience,
but i can say that I am one that dislike timers because i put an effort into building a character and just the possibility of not being able to use something i have put an effort into annoys me.
And just because i tend to build my character I also tend to do as much as I can with it because I do not play a second time just to find the lesser percentage of the things I did not find.
The times I play a game again, often months or years after the first time. tends to be because I liked what I did the first time and kinda want to do it again.

Some pretty nice work there. Looks well on it's way to being the most visually stunning rogue-like I've seen.

Do you mind saying a bit about how the time limit is going to work? I'm generally not a fan of time limits, but I don't mind them when they err on the side of generous (e.g. you can take your time, but you can't scum for instance). I generally like to take my time & explore the world, would be a shame if that wasn't possible.

Seconded.

Well, I mostly did it as engineer during the time that two mines broke it unless it had mineguard.

Don't let the size of a fight stop you from making a sundy run. It's more than possible to pop a sundy in a heavily populated fight by being a little sneaky, using ambiguous camo and armor, and looking like you belong.
I actually found it easier to get to sunderers in a zerg due to it being so chaotic and most people just dont expect to see someone so close to the sunderer and/or far away from the front fighting.

^This. Apparently all you need to become "le super hacker" is a smartphone app.
What you do is getting a backdoor into the system that surveys the area which you do physically and then you interact with said system through your phone, and i assume that there is coding to be done to set that up which i guess is reasonable.
Though that said, It still hollywood hacking.
Driving and shooting is clumsy at best, cover system can be annoying, didn't really bother with any side missions because it just did not seem interesting. Plot is meh and the most used weapons were silenced pistol and grenade launcher.

Two naming conventions.
The direct and descriptive one: Vanilla [game] server
Simplistic DF way: Dwarfmade or stardwarf or something similarly silly.

I think the color and $ number on quests changes depending on how strong you are. For example, you probably won't be seeing any drakes or chess pieces in green $$ hunting quests, but these days I get plenty. The game probably measures your power/fame and shows the difficulty relative to you. Or something. Basically what Ogdibus said.
Well, I do know that the available quests depends on the players fame and that higher fame makes quests with more $$ available.
But that was not really what i asked because it has always been this way, But i can't recall that one got more than 1 coin for each quest before.
Or maybe that was because i kept my fame low for power gaming purposes.

Well, I've had 15$+ quests though i do not recall how many coins on those. But I am also getting 3 coins from birthday quests and the other easy ones.

Say. what modifies the amount of platinum coins one gets from quest?, level or fame?

I can't say if another mod character can be loaded into E+, but vanilla works just fine.
It would probably be possible to do inheritance from legacy characters aslong as none of the items are due to a mod.

Considering having another run at this.
Though looking over the comments at the wiki, the recent patches seems a bit buggy so does anyone know which version would be the most stable one?

147
Would the plots purpose be for protection or to limit the building space?

I wouldn't have a problem with skyblock if there were large floating natural looking islands, large enough for everything or with many small ones that one can connect to.
But with just one small one, as soon as expansion is needed it will look like shit. it bothers my aesthetic.

Its because we are supposed to "eventually" have vehicles and open world PVP.

How does the game work actually? Is it just a bunch of extra rooms like an FPS video game or is it somesort of persistent battlefield with clans controlling sections

Look at a video.
There are 3 continents and if you get in a plane at the warpgate(spawn) you can fly all over the place with no zones and attack any base or foe in between.

Really. Firefall is more similar to WoW than planetside.

149
Question, I hear alot of comparison to Planetside on a game I play called firefall. Whats the differences?
Admittedly, i haven't played firefall in a good while but I dont know why anyone would compare these two games.

Well, Interesting variation to isle life, mining redstone and the high-end TC ores.

They are spawned from destroyed netherrack (silk touch, or get swarmed).
It seemed to me that they could enter blocks(netherrack, cobble and stone bricks so far) or they could break one to make a new fish.
I assume that it is when they broke cobble that silverfish spawned.
