Captured GCS is a valuable resource!
construct a GCS web collecting room and make silk cloth for all your dwarves ^^

Considering how the dwarves work, alot of dwarves increase the risk of collapse if designating a large area due to work designation, having one or two miners would probably remove the risk though it would be slower.
Consider chipping of 2 squares into the cliff face and go with the collapse if youre just evening it out.
or having fun with channeling ^^

That would have been fun if 7/7 squares was considered flowing.
"all travelers inside?"
"Close entry and release the water!"

A sight to see, wet dwarves poping out at the end in mach3.
the other fast travel would be catapults but thats more goblin style than dwarven ^^

I got curious about that too with my last project. then i abandoned that method and simply mined the whole area leaving one pillar to support it and did so for the levels i intended to remove. then i just collapsed the support.

I think its more that the dead one does not have a grave. i've had dwarves dead, rotten, incinerated and disintegrated but they still magically appear in a newly designated coffin(exception made for chasmed dwarves)
all dwarves but nobles in my fortresses are usually very happy due to legendary dining hall and exceptional rooms so even if a friend dies they dont go misserable

As stated in another thread, if you dont have a fortress guard nor sheriff, no dwarves will be harmed by the hammerer and there wont be any guards to put them in jail.

usually when the nobles gets unhappy i just lock em into a small room and let them be there till they starve. new noble arrives? lock him up.

I very much doubt that. It's an mmo afterall and the only thing ive heard that non-employees can do in mmo's would be assistant GM or giving suggestions.

You're doing a good job at making weaponry for warhammer online, though i thought you was making a HoMM mod? =P

Quite lovely. now you have to set up the most cruel method of killing the noble and the hammerer.
I suggest you to lock them in a small chamber, 2 Z high and open topped, and have all your dwarves pour water into it for slow drowning.

It is a HoMM mod, everything in that game tries to look somewhat fancy ^^
Though, if ignoring the but end, it would still be quite practical as there isnt anything obstructing not any spikes that might get stuck.

But Legendary Urist McWeaponsmith would probably suffer the travisty of art defacement the first time it got used.

Oh im sorry, let me rephrase myself. "Over the shoulder one person shooter with the same aim system as an FPS" game.

On second thought. FPS is easier to say.

Usually the CoF is dead centre when still and crouched, increasing the radius by movement or increased rate of fire. Console games rarely have that function and always have huge CoF. Halo for example(which i hated horribly). The first rifle had a CoF reaching 1/9 of the screen and if i wanted to kill something effectivly i had to run up in melee, which beats the purpose of having firearms.
Atleast i does not enjoy it if i crouch or go prone, carefully aim at the opponents head and accidentially shoot the one 5 meters to the right in the leg.

The little time i played it made gave me the feeling that this game sucks, hard.
A good example on why console FPS should not be ported to PC
Though in my opinion there are no good console FPS, it always seems like the guns are made by blind cripples with only one thumb.
I mean, even in a badly made gun the bullet goes the way the barrel is pointing.. if the gun dont explode that is.
