Oh well another reason to be happy i only spent certs on a skyguard lightening... hopefully they won't make it unable to hit aircraft because it's was overpowered against infantry.
Is it? It can kill quite well in close but the only infantry that needs to go that close is c4 guys and then they gotta blame themself.

...my friends and I can't all fit in one Lightning.

Also, are either the Kobalt or Bulldog significantly better than the Basilisk for making things dead, or should I just stick with this and maybe slap a night vision scope on it?
get all your friends into a AA-lightning each and its even better. alternatively, all but one go AA max and you ride around in a sunderer.
Either of these will scare away any air and you might even kill the ESF before they react if you focus fire.

They might have patched it away, but I liked the bulldog due to the large explosion. Good against infantry.
Like dual dogs, shield disruptor and go into a defended base and explode everything...
Though i expect that you'll just attract c4 LA now.

243
...than one guy able to instagib a deployed sunderer that would rather use something like stealth armor instead of mineguard.
Use mineguard and leave it or stealth and guard it... but mine engineers can rarely get a sunderer unless you deployed it somewhere he can just jump down on it or similar. If a sunderer is deployed next to a wall and I just have to use the jump platforms once to reach it then the driver needs to deploy in smarter places.
People just tend to drive their sunderes as close as they can then leave them so they get points from the zerg respawning.

Nope, that's still a prefered form of douchebaggery.
It's my prefered form =P
There was so much bitching about it so I assumed they would have done something about it, but the mines weren't/aren't very useful for anything else.

245
Haven't played for quite a while, did they ever do something about engineers mining deployed sunderers?

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that it was a pirate sim. I just meant that it makes a pretty good one, since there aren't very many pirate sims, unless I'm missing something.
Haven't actually played the last one, but if it is like the ship action in the previous game then it's basically motor boats with forceshields and everyone is attending a masquerade party as pirates.
Sad thing how the last good pirate game(not arcadey) was made in 1999 and was quite buggy.

On topic, 1 is good unless you've played the sequels and the last one (not the pirate one) is shit and the story is horrendous.

Certainly less obscure than the others here, but I've been contemplating starting a Rune Factory 4 thread. Seems like it'd interest a lot of people here, but maybe not.
Seems rare that threads about portable games appear, myself would love to play RF4 but i dont have the 3DS.

Hm, I guess that's true. They have a higher cost of entry than normal console games, which are probably gonna be ported to at least one console you already own. Pokemon, as always, is the glaring exception :P But if you have a normal DS, RF3 is decent too. Good luck finding it anywhere but amazon though.
played Rf1-3 with emulators, 3ds does not have one yet and i do not feel like buying a 3ds just for one game.
How is it compared to the previous ones anyway?

My fondest moments in PS2 are when I've been blasting air.
Perhaps not fondest, but i get smugly satisfied when me and some friends forces liberators to duck and cover a few seconds after they become visible to us.

Ah. I kinda feel the same when I played the rune factory games. Which plant will give me the highest profit? Plant it everywhere and thats it.
But rune factory had other things that made me like it.

Implementing soil type/quality and ways to change it like fertilizers or irrigation could be interesting.

I feel like I'm making no sense...
You're making some kind of sense, but I am not sure how it is related. You want it to be more scripted NPCs and events? Or you wish to impose some limits on what one is able to do?

Wow, this topic is kinda dead right now. Not that there's too much new to discuss.   ???
The long wait continues...
I Like this post... As a comparison it makes me think someone of resurrecting a guy, pause for a moment then shove him back into the grave and walk away.

Zomboid can be fun for the interested and i did enjoy the time i've played, but at times i felt that it would be better played after some more development.
The mechanics is in there for surviving alone in a zombie town but that is also all that is in it so you'll have to set your own goals.
I do not know the current price so i guess it depends on how thick your wallet is if you should buy it or not and i would say that the value you get for your money is still higher than a bunch of AAA titles but in the current state of the game development, that might not mean much.

Oh fire!  So do they just burn everything down so they can run in or does that result in you dying from smoke inhalation in your invincible fortress?
If you dont come out and play we'll kick down your sandcastle
