Would you put your annoyance above the survival of the human species?

I admit that my view of miriam is based on research quotes and the fluff story of when they were on the ship so I might be missing something.
But... Miriam is fervorously religious which is the first thing that annoys me. Secondly, They're on a hostile world that is just growing more hostile and she wants to inhibit science.

And I'm of the more pessimistic world view that humanity is screwed unless we start improving ourselves, be it genetic manipulation, selective breeding or some alternative that just has not appeared yet. Otherwise we will probably blow ourselves up or do something similarly selfdestructive.

I think you missed a 'n' in your "Cannon" there, Because you seem to be wanting to use them.

Yeah, though that is more of a bonus rather than farmable

So, does anyone have a better method to get small medals than running through dungeons? Alternatively, a good way to get scrolls of growth which is what I'm buying with the medals.

What are some good buff spells to aim for?

Not many around so it depends on what you need. Feather & shield for dv/pv, resistance for... resistances. Hero if you want dex&str. Speed is a no brainer.
Most of these you'll want to level a bit though, to get the duration up, and you'll also increase the buffed value.

That is your problem. you are overburdened and probably had like 10 speed at most because cargo weight does matter.
What you do is you just bring the carpenter tools, craft a few and sell them and then you go to the next town and craft some more.

Curious how to get the skills showing under the compass like you did.

The waste art is nice money, but takes 100 garbage each so its a bit of collecting to do.
Don't forget the cargo crafts like barrels and the like, that's money too.
Carpentry is great for money and you get the wands as a bonus, Jewelry for the useful scrolls.
Alchemy might be good for saving money but when you can make potential potions you don't have the materials and its easier to get from shops.
