DF General Discussion / Re: RAW typos and missing tags
« on: April 04, 2010, 03:00:48 pm »
Similar to the b_detail_plan_default typo, wouldn't [BP_RELATION:BY_TOKEN:L_EYELID:AROUND:R_EYE:50] also be incorrect?  Unless I'm reading it wrong it's saying that both eyelids are near the RIGHT eye, no?

Yep. Is wrong.

Make bars of soap, not globs
raw/objects/reaction_other.txt -- change glob to bar:

[PRODUCT:100:1:GLOBBAR:NONE:GET_MATERIAL_FROM_REAGENT:B:SOAP_MAT]

Meat should be cookable
raw/objects/material_template_default.txt (maybe not necessary if code is later changed so that meat implies edible cooked):
Add [EDIBLE_COOKED] everywhere there is [MEAT].

Fix horn silver entry
inorganic_stone_mineral.txt:
[INORGANIC:HORN_SILVER]
[USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:METAL_TEMPLATE]
[STATE_NAME_ADJ:ALL_SOLID:horn silver][DISPLAY_COLOR:7:7:1][TILE:156]
[ENVIRONMENT_SPEC:NATIVE_SILVER:CLUSTER_SMALL:100]

Also, in b_body_plan_default:
[BP_RELATION:BY_TOKEN:R_EYELID:AROUND:L_EYER_EYE:50]

Will add those as well.

But:
Quote
Make Quarry Bushes edible if processed and cooked:
[USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:LEAF:LEAF_TEMPLATE]
[MATERIAL_VALUE:5]
[LEAVES:quarry bush leaf:quarry bush leaves:7:0:0:0:0:1:6:LOCAL_PLANT_MAT:LEAF][EDIBLE_COOKED]

Where was this one at?

DF General Discussion / RAW typos and missing tags
« on: April 04, 2010, 08:51:48 am »
Let's compile a list of typo's and missing tags that we have found in the raws. Once we've gone through all the text files I'll put the full list in the bug reports section for Toady.

Here's what I've got so far:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

File name is listed first, followed by what was found. Please try to follow the same pattern when you put ones you find up, that way I can copy-pasta it directly in. On the ones marked "- None found" please feel free to give those another look over as well. I have no doubt I could have missed something. The new RAWs are huge!

Anyway, this will make it easier for Toady to fix this stuff. Let's get to it!

EDIT: Now in spoiler tags instead of code. The scrolling was annoying me.

Thanks go to:
- shadow_slicer
- Trorbes
- Sphalerite
- Knight Otu
- Iban
- Strange guy

This is turning out really good. Keep up the good work guys!

Don't you know?

A single Urist of space (which we inaccurately refer to as a tile) contains an infinite amount of space. It is merely the rules by which our little friends govern themselves which prevents them for walking around locked  doors and walls and other obstuctions. Large creatures simply go around them, in the infinite space that is the Urist. Unless they are a building destroyer, in which case they destroy the offending impediment and go around the rubble. Thieves are nicer in this regard, as they merely go around the locked door, leaving it perfectly intact.

Also, they don't actually walk from Urist to Urist, as walking an infinite distance would consume on infinite amount of time, and we already have enough FPS problems. No, they merely shift themselves in space-time. So, in conclusion, no creature truly walks through a door, it merely occupies the same space as the door briefly, before teleporting onwards.

Allow me to be the first to welcome our new hairy lizard overlords.

And since this is the only chance I'll likely get to post anything today:
Rickvoid cancels everything; Dwarfgasm.

I need to start playing this again. See how long I can make a character that does nothing but protitute from town to town last. Any how powerful I can make her. Perhaps tonight.

Folks, I learned long ago that it is futile to argue with idiots and teenagers (which are arguably the same thing). This is why I don't go into any of the politic or similar threads on the forum anymore. In fact, I have mostly confine myself to the games and DF sections now.
So now, I must ask, what the fuck is this. Doing here. IN MY BASTION OF SANITY!!

Urist, Goron, I agree with you on all Sony, Microsoft, Gun Control, and Constitution related comments. But please, stop. Most of the folks who are doing the whining about this crap do not have the life experience and understanding to get this stuff, and hold as idols folks who stand to gain from their overblown reactions. And I am talking about far more than just the current issue. I'm talking about the folks that call you a Nazi for siding with private industry, corporations, and consumerism.

Tl;Dr: Let the tards tard at eachother, because they are tards.

And the rest of you get this shit back in the cesspool that is General Discussion, where it belongs. ¤_¤ My laser vision commands it!

Actually, you're both making the same argument. On the one hand, you can't get much done in a month (which is not necessarily true, as youb could do other stuff while you wait for longer running tasks to finish). On the other hand, three month runs will have some people's first turn 1 or 2 years after the start of the game. Then they get three months to do something, then wait another year or two. And who's to tell if anything they did last time matters now? There's no longterm strategy that can be applied.

I'd vote for two month turns, so no-one is happy with the results. But I'm not even playing.

Cirius cannot be Terry Pratchet. And yet he is.

Impossibility Matrix to 10,000%!! Hold on, we're gonna hit some turbulence!!

More seriously, great update. Well done.

+1 for FlameBanner. For being a story based on books about bloody cats, it is exceedingly Dwarven.

Plus, their Dwarves are somehow surviving without throats. That's hardcore.

Edit: +1 for The Captains Log too, if that's still being voted on.

Gordon Freeman would demand an update, but Gordon Freeman does not speak.

Feel his burning stare, look upon his iron-like countenance, and despair.

Wish I could say I could participate. Sounds like fun.

Might not be a bad idea to upload the entire game to the dffd, with a text document added to the folder so that everyone can keep better track of what's going on (text file would be used for notes for the next person)

Good luck! Name a brainwashed former conservative after me! :D
