I have my laptop back.

Expect a day or two for updates, at least.

Funny story, it was actually my power slot that was broken, so pretty good guess on the charger :p

92
A: Continue working on that shack o' mine.

93
That's because from A1 you're going SE, instead of NE, as indicated by the white line. You need to go NE (so that every even number gets moved UP by one).

I don't have a laptop anymore. No updates until I have it back. Sorry.

94
I think I have a fair idea how he wants the coords to work. In my mind we needed twice as many rows, but with the slightly wiggle-ness of the hexagons it can be difficult.

Went ahead and labeled your area for you, this should be correct.

If Lidhun wants, I could possibly take over map making, and redo the whole map from the info in the update posts. Just lemme know.

Go ahead if you want to, it would save me a lot of time. I can send you the originals in GIMP format, if you'd like?

95
The white line near the A on the upper left border indicates which hexagon you should count up into.
So, Haika's map is close to being correct: a11 should be b11, etc... and a13 should be b13,etc..

Otherwise, the coastal areas won't have a designation!

Also, the teal areas are out of bounds.

96
No map this turn. Turns are taking a long time to update. Need to find a more efficient way to do it (excel sheet, perhaps?).

Once again, please let me know of any errors.

Also soon in the first post.

I'll sign up as a player.

Hopefully I'll notice when the new version comes up!

Oh, you're building it into the ocean.

Hadn't noticed that. I thought we were talking about E19 and never actually bothered to count.

Yeah, it's possible to build an aqueduct from E20 (lowlands) to F19 (coastal).

100
That's right 100killer9, my bad. It's possible to build it from the mountains to the lowlands, but you won't be able to build it to F19, since you cannot build a (working) aqueduct from lowland to lowland.

Do you want to move all your units to D20 for free or keep them in E20?

Let me know if there are any errors, feedback is always accepted and map will be updated whenever I've got the time (it doesn't seem that important).

Remember, cities have no effect until they exceed max capacity by at least 1. In your starting areas, regular max capacity 8 (2 + forest + river = 4 * 2 = 8 ). For a city to start having an effect, it must have 9 homes in these areas.

Fat is fairly flammable too :p just don't have dry bamboo people. That'll fix it!

The winter's snow melted, as the chief of the tribe, Reverant of Loke, took a mistletoe in his hand. Spring was coming. "We're going hunting soon, chief." One of the Fallen said. "Good." Lidhuin replied "Take all the spears, bows and arrows you need. We're going to need that meat." He returned to the others and told them, "People, a new year is upon us and we must ready ourselves. Let us move towards the sea and bring our camp with us." The tribe cheered in unison.

Having fashioned an arrow out of the mistletoe, the chief looked out upon the sea. He saw that hunting there was as valid an option as hunting in the forest. He called one of the men forth. "I'll have you keep cutting down wood, but some of you should start working on fashioning something that'll let us get out into those waters and fish. Wood floats, right?" The man nodded, and returned to work. Lidhuin returned to looking out at the sea. Symbolically, he threw the mistletoe arrow into it.

"Winter will be upon us soon, chief." One of the maidens said. Lidhuin looked at her. She had spent much time preparing for the feast that evening. A pretty thing she was, but deadly too and he knew that. "We will prepare. The ground is soft. We should build a pit and cover it from the rain and against animals." The maiden nodded and left. Lidhuin was sure he'd see more of her later.

It would soon be time for the winter solstice feast. Lidhuin of The Fallen of Bifrost hoped they had enough food to last them. If not, the women still capable should go hunting in the woods. He looked over the tribe, and examined what they had accomplished that year and what he expected they should accomplish the next.

Assumption: Hunting includes maintainance of ammo and weapon stocks.

Spring: *The camp moves towards the ocean.
*The men cut down wood and the women go hunting.
*Hides are tanned, bones are stored, etc... in one of the tents.
*The hides will be kept for later.

Summer: *Some of the men cut down wood.
*Some of the men try to use the wood to float on the water.
*Some of the women go hunting, tan hides, etc...
*Some of the women go fishing.

Fall: *Some of the men cut down wood.
*Some of the men try to dig a pit and line it with tanned hides, as well as cover it with branches, leather and leaves, to protect it against the elements. Here they store any auxillary food they find, leather, bones and such.
*Some of the women will try to hunt in the water. Some of the women will go hunting for food.

Winter: *In the early winter, new tents are made out of excess leather and wood.
*If food stocks start running low, women go hunting.
*Clothes are made out of fur.
*Excess time is divided between trying to research an ocean floatation device and chopping wood.

To battle!

Tribe's Name: Bifrost
Tribe's Race: Fallen Valkyries
Brief physical description of said race: The physically imposing maidens seem to glow with the fury of a blazing sun. These fallen Valkyries have forsaken their duties, in favour of joining in warfare. They all strive to resemble Freja, when they are not busy proving to their former gods that they are more competent warriors than any man in their old home. The men are a treacherous lot of brigands, cast out of Valhalla for using trickery and deceit before, during and after battle. Their scarred faces and mottled skin tell tales of lives lived full of battles and deceitful tricks. Though they would usually stand tall, to distinguish the fallen from those still in favour, the people of this tribe are shorter than average, at most standing a poor 5 feet tall and though they produce people of great beauty, as a rule they are far too rough towards each other for any such beauty to survive.

Leader's name(who you are): Lidhuin the High Fallen (easier to remember, you know?)

What the Leader specializes in: Battle!

Any deities:
Loke, god of treachery.
Freja, goddess of love.

A description of your starting environment: Heavily forested, lowland areas. There are nefarious swamps nearby, as well as calm rivers leading to it. There are no hills or mountains in sight, and though the ocean is not too far, it is at least a days march, if not two.

Food source: These people hunt animals for their succulent meats.

Three Skills:
simple weapons (spear & bow and arrows)
woodcutting (axe)
leather working (knives!)

Points are the measure by which you win the game by the 20th Turn. It allows for both violent and non-violent strategies. It also means that a player who has scored substantially more points than others, can be wiped out and still win.

Is the Farms built on the City tile producing any food if cared for???

Yes they do increase capacity, but the farms are halved in effectiveness (so it takes 2 farms to increase capacity by 1). This may become more important later on, if more structures/events/etc... end up also halving effectiveness, in which case the farms become useless (and will Not grant you points).

You build two farms in H5
Your people find 5 wood in the forest.
They consume 2 food in a feast, but discover there is insufficient space for them to grow.
Your people wonder if the last piece of food will last. It does, for now.

In their search for how to make fire, your people produce 3 charcoal. Rather than consuming the wood to produce this as would usually be the case, the motivation found in discovering something new kept your people from consuming your gathered goods.

End of Turn status:
Points: 13+18 = 31
Population: 8 in H5

Farms: 2 in H5
Resources: 1 food, 5 wood, 3 charcoal

Your people consumed two food to avoid starvation (capacity increased from 5 to 8 (max capacity))

see bold.
