...although I'm not sure what a dragon might do in order to gain experience. Swimming, perhaps (they probably have [SWIMS_INNATE], which you'd have to remove). Maybe Wrestling?

I remember reading about it in games mags, but my parents' budget didn't stretch to buying many MD (Genesis, whatever) games new. Also, I don't think it had much of a release, here.

I blame John Major.

The artist should never make excuses for his art. That's for the audience to do for you. If you're art isn't good enough, then it isn't. No-one going to accept any of this "oh lol it was just a quick doodle i can do much better" or "i wasn't taking it seriously" bullshit. If you can do better, then do better. And honestly, if you don't plan to succeed, you're planning to fail. Even 5 minutes planning before you pick up the pencil will see an immediate rise in quality. If you're too lazy to take it seriously, then don't even bother picking up the pencil each day to practice. You'll only be as good as you force yourself to be.
Tough love.
Dasleah has a very good point (if this seems unfair, bear in mind that the audience is in a privileged position).

Also, no more tears totally still hurts your eyes, man.  Johnson needs to be punched in the face for false advertising.
Agree (well, in the past tense. Shampoo-in-eyes-pain is not so big a deal when you're past the baby stage, but I do remember feeling cheated (as a wee bairn) when my eyes still stung after getting No More Tears in them).
Or, babies need to GROW THE FUCK UP, MAN, IT'S SHAMPOO.
Or both.

Never mind the whippersnappers being able to remember him, does Shaq still even exist? (I don't know, not American, obviously).

I agree with Dasleah, his outlook seems quite realistic (and damn right you high-schoolers out to be glad not to have to deal with bills and shite, yet). Then again, I've been accused of being a pessimist myself, in the past.

...Home schooling? And miss all of that free "character-building"?

Paaaaaaaintbllloooooowwwwwwww, the Wonnnnderrrrrr Horrrrrrsse!

That horse is awesome. The horse messiah. But, died falling (probably dodging) into a chasm? That's pretty lame.

BUT STILL HER LEGEND LIVES ON.

It is when you're furnished with a chance to demonstrate how manly you are by resisting the temptation to cry like a baby with shampoo in your eyes.

I remember that shampoo.

"Nothing But Tears" is pretty manly, but it still says "Johnson's baby" on the bottle.

light doesn't go through stairs.
Seriously...?

Damn...
Aye, neither does magma (I got pissed off trying to remove an access staircase from a magma channel below my smelter because whether channeling or removing upwards staircases, stupid dwarves prefer to do the work from the bottom (and leaving themselves trapped). So, the staircase stayed, but I discovered that I'd have to cut another channel into the floor in order for my smelter to count as having magma access).

Oh. I must just have lightly tinkered them, then... I'll remember to cube them next time.

Yes. Invent some more! :D

I didn't know you were such a die-hard pessimist, inaluct? (well, perhaps you are being an realist, here, and I'm being abnormally optimistic (for yours truly) and supportive because I'm sympathetic to Skel's situation, i.e. I'm afraid that I've upset/pissed someone off and I want to be able to make up with them again)

In any case, I would say that folk don't necessarily hold you to be contemptible just because you think they do; on the other hand, believing so could create a self-fulfilling prophecy where you're already so given over to the "absolute certainity" that they hate you, that they eventually will.

Is it rude/evil/mean/cruel/bad to take advantage of this one day of civility to try and win back a friend?
No. But what makes today so important?

I have seen minor instances of fortresses started after an adventurer retired containing engravings detailing that hero's exploits. No "ongoing" history in the rest of the world, though, it seems.

Most folks bump up their [SIZE] in the raws. Me, I'm currently using numbers around 20, but still don't see/hear of many megabeasts (mostly semi-megabeasts in Adventurer mode, nearly half of whom are actually just named wild animals, and almost always so heavily-injured they might not require my assistance to off themselves when my adventurer actually gets near).

tl;dr
Boost the [SIZE] in the raws as much as you dare; you can always bring it back down after gen, but leaving it high could be fun (or FUN).

Sounds like a case of an Umxu in Urist's clothing. That dwarf you've known for years, with whom you've shared beers—maybe even married—could be a goblin spy in disguise! They are the same [SIZE], after all.

You could do it, but you're not doing it right, as it were.
I giggled.
