Maximum answered the man with the utmost calm, "I was just about to tell you that myself." He started slowly walking towards the two men and woman, his cane rhythmically tapping against the cobblestones. "But I would like to make you an offer, you join me instead. I can offer you much more than the street thug you currently work for and, " after a slow pause he said, "I will let you live.". Now with Maximum getting quite close to the group there was this very slight sense of unease, you couldn't exactly put your finger on it, but it's telling you that something is wrong here. Finally reaching the party in this filthy alley, he took his cane into his right hand and crossed them at his chest. "Have you had enough time to consider my proposition, gentlemen?" he queried.

If the men don't join you, kill the closest or the most threatening in the goriest way possible. Also recruit the woman. Use the woman's place to live in and find out everything you can about Elliot the merchant and the fishmonger.

((I'm actually thinking if I should use these games as writing practice and write much more detailed turns.))

((How long of a time-frame will the next turn take place in, a month or a week? Also, can I give people eternal youth/immortality? How easy is it for a human to actually kill one of us?))

Go through corridor "BLOCK aBiO0" and look for the right passageway.

Examine the hallway for signs or labels.

((Don't I get an undercover service group or does that not play a role here?))

Have somebody else approach the doors first.

Excellent, hopefully I won't be the first to die.  :P

General Discussion / Re: The Official Bay12 - 52 books challenge 2013

Spoiler: 24/52 (click to show/hide)

The Fifty Shades books are truly horrible, they aren't as horrible as I thought that they are, but they are still the worst piece of literary junk that I have ever read in my life. It's like some 13 year old teenage girl just started writing down her love/sex fantasies. The style makes you want to kill yourself, it is that horrible. How this thing ever got published or popular is beyond me. Only read them if you're feeling masochistic. But I read them while being bored at the beach.

"The Gravedigger", a little something I wrote just to pass the time. I wrote this mostly to see how well I can write pretty much about one guy doing one thing in short story form with little to no descriptions/world-building. It is quickly written and English isn't my first language but criticize away!

I'm really interested to hear your thoughts, good and bad.

Maximus brushes pack his hair with his right hand while taking a deep breath, enjoying the misty air. He notices the crying baby and taking a step towards it's mother he speaks with the flourish of the highest classes, "Pardon me for the disturbance. What a truly beautiful baby that is.". He reaches out to touch the baby on it's head but the mother swiftly steps backwards, still gazing at Maximus. Sighting Maximus turns towards the men and asks them if they know where the city's cutthroats and bravos gather during the night.

1.Maximus searches the city for the bravo's and cutthroat's gathering place.
2. He recruits the best cutthroat/bravo he can find.
3. They search for a place of residence, preferably a fortified manor house or some such.

We aren't the mob; I'm pretty sure we're the higher up mafia guys. Like Vito Corleone or Fat Tony. I'm pretty sure that they'd want someone to make sure they don't die. I could be wrong though.

You're not a family, you're a crew. As in, a gang of criminals probably answering to an actual organized crime family, which means that having a medic is only vaguely plausible if the guy in question served in WWI in the Navy hospital corps, though why they would take someone like that along on jobs is another question entirely.

You are actually made men, as in members of the family. Though you are in the lowest rank of the family you are not the lowest of the mafia world. Below you are associates, simple street thugs who work for the mafia, yet don't belong in it. Think of yourselves as an enforcer group(One of the rumoured causes of The Valentine's Day Massacre was that a gang had tried to assassinate Capone's enforcer three times.). You won't be robbing stores or stuff like that.

The medic isn't strictly a doctor per say, He can take care of the wounded, but can't heal a gunshot wound for example, that's what the mafia doctor's for.

Welcome to the year 1925 and the Prohibition Era New York City. It's a time when the partied grew bigger and wilder, the dames were hotter and the city came boosting to life. All this came from the money provided from alcohol sales and the men selling the alcohol have the nicest suits, the newest cars, invitations to the wildest parties and of course the hottest dames. But this all comes with a price, a blood price. The question is, are you willing to pay that price?

Spoiler: What is this? (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: How can I apply? (click to show/hide)

My second RTD, go!

Name: Maximus Augustus Xelion
Starting location: The great island city rich with races and people of all walks of life. As Maximus loves riches and luxury he prefers great cities if at all possible. The great city would also provide him with excellent cover as it is very hard to find somebody in a city booming with life. The possibilities in a city are endless. In a city there is also provided for shady areas and crowds, the ones that Maximus likes to indulge in from time to time.
