I think you should also have to pay for the barrels your booze comes in.

You should also be able to build wagons and sell them to caravans so you can sell them more stuff. What would be really nice is if doing so allowed them to carry more so they'd trade more from then on.

How about artifacts that can only be created by fell and macabre moods?

Clothes of Living On: The relatives of the dwarf who was used to make this don't consider him dead as long as it's worn. Also, the dwarf wearing this piece of clothing has the highest skill of the original owners.

Maybe ones that only occur in special cases?
Bone <Weapon> of Vengeance (macabre only): This weapon is more effective against the species that killed the original owner.

The only way to pressurize magma is with screw pumps. Essentially, you need to use screw pumps to move the magma from the cistern if you want it to be useful.

I have a magma channel that crosses my entire map. It took years to fill, but it filled nonetheless. You can make it fill at linear speed if you use a pump. That is to say, if you use a pump it takes twice as long to fill a channel that's twice as long, but if you don't, it takes four times as long, ignoring evaporation.

Make this not only apply to barrels and bins, but to stacks.

I don't see the problem of it creating lots of jobs, so long as it's the lowest priority, and dwarfs will only do it if they have nothing else to do. It could actually help, as you could turn hauling off on your legendary dwarfs, so if you, say, make crafts, the legendary craftsdwarf would do it, unless he's busy, in which case a dwarf that isn't as good would finish his hauling job and do it.

I've heard that if you take out the [CAN_SPEAK] (or whatever it was) tag, it makes it so their wars never end, so it's much more likely that they'll  be at war with you.

In order to build a drawbridge, you need one end anchored to the floor. The closest I could do to what you did and still make it a drawbridge is:

Which is essentially what I did.

Edit:
Tanelorn: I'd have to make sure I don't lock the doors with the dwarfs inside. If I was going to build doors, I might as well replace the bridge with a hatch and make it perfectly safe.

Couldn't you just pet-lock the doors? If there's enough, one is bound to stop the cat.

You could modify the raws so cats don't have lungs.

How is your drawbridge laid out?

Huh? It's sort of like:

where #s are walls, ,s are floors, the - is a channel, and the X is the drawbridge (that lowers into the channel). One of my drawbridges is three tiles wide, they're not all oriented that way but other than that, they're pretty much the same.

Strange, I just noticed a puppy that seems to have fallen in one of the channels under the floodgates. I wonder how long it was there.
