Liaisons are historical figures; presumably your human diplomat got picked off in worldgen, and since you never get a replacement... :-\

is this true??

good lord, i dug a shaft straight down and hit raw adamantine right above the bottomless pit, in the spring of my first year!
I haven't even found the magma pipe yet
in retrospect, it probably wasn't a good idea to center my fortress on it

should i pursue the adamantine now? i searched hard for a setup with flux, iron and magma, and bauxite toting civ-should i continue my steel making?
should i kill my men and go crazy hermit in the depths?????

1. when i started my game as an adventurer some trader apparently had illusions about having a hand:

Trader looses hold of the rope reed right mitten
trader looses hold of the rope reed right glove

creatures with missing limbs shouldn't spawn wearing something they can't hold
2. marksdwarves only stuff 1 type of bolt in their quiver at a time. currently i've got a markdwarf carrying around 1 bolt in his quiver because no others will stack with it, and he won't even use it at the archery range or drop it unless i discharge him from the military
it works out fine if i only make copper bolts, but bone makes them freak out because only 1 level of quality and 1 type of bone fit in the quiver

3. the paypal banner seems to cause me horrible lag whenever it starts loading, i'm not sure why, it was working before.

4. poor timing with the shift and numpad keys can cause the game to perpetually move the cursor(also makes it hard to save) while no keys are pressed
reloading cures it

marksdwarves will carry ammo, and even combine it in a quiver
but only 1 specific shot.
 This causes problems if only 5 +turtle bone bolts+ exist, while you have 15 *cougar bone bolts* and 25 cedar bolts

they need to be able to grab piles that don't stack and  stuff it into their quiver

My current expedition leader is unconscious and severly wounded
the outpost liason is still waiting to talk to him
i can't exactly change him to "not" be the expedition leader
(i changed the other nobles)
so is the outpost liason destined to go insane?
