I'm not so sure that the memory of the average person back then was really any better than the memory of people now.Nah, from what I've been told by folks that focus on that time period, the general recall was magnitudes greater than what most people can manage now. Can't remember if there was a (even remotely justifiable) why attached, but apparently the history we've got points to it. Now mind, that's second hand coming from me (Not my specialty, oi), but it's what I was told.
For harder evidence, see this article. Much like writing once remapped our brains, the personal computer and the internet are substituting a lot of functions we once had to manage ourselves... and our brains are adapting to become better at finding and connecting data, but worse at remembering said data ourselves. It's happening right now, and though it's not necessarily a bad thing (we're gaining new aptitudes as befit the world in which we live) the minds of today's people are changing.
Hello!
Now, it turns out my loyal fellow of a computer grinds to a horrifying halt when there anywhere above 30 dwarves in my fortress, I can't get Skyrim to run smoothly, and even Fallout 3 etc. lags as to make it unplayable.
Now, my 20th birthday is coming up, meaning, for various reasons, that I have more money between my hands than before. However, not -that- much, so I'm on a budget.
This is my computer - it's assembled from scavenged parts from three dead computers. Call me Frankenstein!
These are the specifications:
Motherboard: ASUS P5E-VM-DO, Socket LGA 775
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 524, på 3,06 GHz
RAM: 6 GB DDR2
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce 8600 GTS
I want to play Dwarf Fortress at reasonable FPS! What say you, can I save it, or must it go?
Umm, sort of hard to explain, but it is like if they type something in the same file as you, it appears on both of your screens. So if you were just sitting and watching, code would appear on the screen by itself, because some guy in the next room is typing all that up, and then when he makes a mistake you can delete it and fix it. It is really cool, but it helps if you can hear each other talk.
Bordellimies, could you do one of your youtube videos for the AD Malz?As a matter of fact, I already did that yesterday. I got all the material from the 5 games I played that day. However, there are two problems:
1. Either the file is too big (it was 9.8 Gb) and Youtube would want to take +7000 minutes to upload it. Too long for me.
2. The quality is too low (and the size was still +3 Gb, which took +1100 minutes, which still is too long...)
So unless you want to watch a video which you actually can't watch, I won't be able to upload it as of yet.
Also, thanks for actually asking this from me, nice to know someone from here likes to see 'em
Gangplank has bought rabadons deathcap. How does an AP Gangplank... work? o_O In one game, we got roflstomped by one, which blew my mind.
Gangplank has bought void staff.
I dunno man, it seems like quite the snitch.
The AP makes his ult very strong in teamfigths, and it can be a pain to finish him off because the oranges heal him so much, especially when he has AP. Lichbane with loads'e AP also means that every Parrrley hurts just as much as it would crit. But because of Lichbane proccing with it every time he crits 100% of the time. Also, Deathfire Grasp is great for him as it is great for anyone who doesn't have too much AP skills (say, Magewick)
■However, this exclude Poppy's Devastating Blow, as it turns the entire bonus damage into magical damage, which means spell vamp is used instead of life steal.
