(Anyone want to kill Psyco Jelly's god and take over his position? I won't stop you, but mostly whine.

EDIT: You know what, I'm going to consider a Timeline Split. In this timeline, the Gods are twiddling their thumbs, but in the second timeline, the Gods are busy doing other stuff since they got PP. The second timeline can be in this thread or in another thread, and will likely be declared non-canon when Psyco Jelly comes.)

"I thought somebody here would realize that Paki is insulting because it does not understand why Pakistan is called Pakistan."

Can someone translate that for me? Who's "it"? Why do we need to understand why Pakistan is called Pakistan? Do we need to understand why Mongolia is called Mongolia? And why is an abbreviation insulting because it doesn't "understand" the full word? Is "states" an insult then?
/headexplodie

Because when you say Paki, you're implying that there is an ethnic group known as "Paki" that live in Pakistan. And that's wrong. There is the Afghani ethnic group, the Kashmiri ethnic group, the Pathuns, the Sindhi, and the people of Balochistan.

Why not address them by the ethnic group? If somebody is a Pashtun in Pakistan, call him a Pashtun, not a Paki. If someone comes from the province of Sindh, call him a Sindhi. If somebody is a Kashmiri, call him a Kashmiri. Don't start lumping people together into one 'group'.

I mean, hack, you got some tribes straddling the Northwest Frontier, walking back and forth between the Afghani/Pakistani border. Not to mention the recent wave of Afghani refugees that is coming into Pakistan. I don't think an Afghani would like it if you call him a "Paki" just because he's in Pakistan currently.

(Well, it's how I'm seeing it as offensive. It's offending me right now, at the least.)

The reason I talk about Ohio being a vanguard is due to its status as a "swing state" back in 2006. It either has to be Vanguard or Popular, and since we can't really have a half-way flip-flop distiniction, it's better to classify them as Vanguard.

EDIT: Votes=
EuchreJack: Yes to all

How the experiment coming?

I thought somebody here would realize that Paki is insulting because it does not understand why Pakistan is called Pakistan.

Pakistan is called Pakistan because it represents the five groups that are within Pakistan:
Punjab, Afghania (also known as North-West Frontier Province), Kashmir, Sindh, and Balochistan. These groups belong in Pakistan because of the fact that they're all Muslims. (Its literal meaning is "Land of the Pure", but also, the fact that it was an acronym was another the reason why this name was chosen [and the one most stressed at celebrations of Pakistan's indepedence day].)

Yes, I'm deeply offended that the Prince didn't even bother to do any research on what Pakistan actually is. Come on, is it that hard to check Wikipedia?

Actually, I'd disagree. I don't want money "after the fact", I want the money now. This is mostly because it places the added problems of getting the necessary money BEFORE the Fact, because I can mostly afford my end of the bargain just by giving the donations, and I'm already around 2 years ahead of the rest of the LCSes.

Though it might be better in the long term. I'm afraid that the $5,000 Ace Lawyers I'll be hiring to clear my name, and that Business Front that will be built would end up forcing you guys to make $50,000 every time I decide to turn myself in. Unless you can get CEO sleepers, that funding level would be unacheivable.

What I wonder is this: Is it possible for people to come up with ideas, write a story, then self-publish said sort on www.lulu.com to make it appear NOT a total waste of time?

Also, what of the overal plot?

The people within this society are rebelling against the current monarch of this new society, to replace him with a new monarchical dyansty. The king needs to find a way to survive the rebellion, and eventually discovers an EVIL CONSPIRACY. His only hope...to meet up with the Gods themselves.

Let have this proposal be voted down either Yes or No.

I'm going to suggest that if a city become sufficently liberalized (say, all laws are L), it becomes promoted from Vanguard to Popular. Its expenses no longer need any more revolutionary bonds.

And if a city becomes sufficently conservatizied (say, all laws are C), it becomes demoted from Popular movement to Vanguard. Its expenses must be paid for by the Popular movements.

Ohio will be counted as an Vanguard.

Popular movements can loan to each other, to cover any expenses and prevent bankrupcy. Of course, said loans must be backed by the bonds. (This is merely a way to help cover expenses via bureacractic paperwork, and avoid any embarrasing defaults).

EDIT: I believe I came up with the perfect plan to liberate Texas. I'll reveal this awesome plan, once my Sugarland replacement levels up...and it won't be implemented until the CCS dies.

(To be a bit more blantat, the reason I wanted to create Prayer, despite the fact that it will cause conflict, is so that we gain more PP and do more stuff.

Of course, Prayer can only be made once we get PP, so that solution isn't working.  :'(

I can't see myself going into inactivity. The bacteria needs me!)

I like the Rollercoaster Tycoon method the best. Tell them what to focus on, throw money at them, and the game randomly pick a technology for them to discover. It feels real, like you're actually wasting money when your scientists finally researched Bench 2.0 instead of an actual ride that might make money.

Alright, so you're stating that 'Liberal cities' squads have to store some extra money depending on how much the 'Conservative cities' purchase, while 'Conservative cities' squads do not, right?

Do we need to budget for the the higher prices one have to pay in Conservative cities, like, say, 20%?

All I bought right now is a Crowbar, $20. 20% of that is $2, so right now, Liberal cities have to raise a total of $20, alltogether, correct?

I think I may need to state one cavet:
Cavet A) I might be inactive a little bit because I do need to focus on the LCS mods, including citizens' groups, diplomacy, other organizations, and politicans

EDIT 1: Yeah. I'm an idiot.

Okay, so I tried to steal a car, and I failed. The result
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I gave up, used a court attoreny, was found guilty, sentenced to 21 months in prison, and I got out in December 1st, 2009. By this time, most laws are M, privacy and industry regulations are C, the City's Seceratary of State and City's Attorney General are C+. Luckily, the City Courts stayed the same.

Hmph. I'm not going to steal a car, not yet anyway.

EDIT2: Gave a speech on December 1st 2009, after I got out of prison.

EDIT3: On December 7th, in Sugarland, this Liberal is deployed.

Get her to 100 juice, get her arrested, and then she'll be sitting pretty as a replacement.

EDIT4: Daisho bought, at $250. Trenchcoat bought, at $70. I'll calcaute 20% surtax later.

Since I am using an older version where sleepers can't gain juice, it is rather likely that I'm going to use the 'spare Hippie' method. I am going to need to give lots of speeches to hire the Ace Lawyer and that posh apartment.

I'm giving it some thought, and it seems the Texas CCS is going to be a problem. The prohibiton against recruitment would mean that I can't use infinite sweatshop workers to burn the place down, and besides, moltov cocktails aren't allowed in Texas anyway, so it really doesn't matter. Not to mention that the only way you can find the Texas CCS is to kidnap a CCS agent and brainwash them.

To shut down a CCS building, I need to put it into High Alert. That might be hard to do with one guy.

Of course, a better method would be to never activate the Texas CCS by doing too many terror attacks. However...

It is now NIGHT 4. webadict will be able to vote because he is 'in transit'. Armok and A_Fey_Drawf will not be able to vote, but can endorse (or pointely not endorse) mayoral candinates.
