Curses, we should have harvested the orcs for supplies.  A, in the hopes of finding food or more supplies, then.

Leader's Name: Brutus XII (if successful)
Leader's Race: Ogre

------------------------------------------------

Name of Religion: Ogre Papacy
Leader's Title: Ogre Pope
Type of Religion: Henotheism
Major Figures: Wrath, patron deity (of rage, conquest and dominion); the Ogre Prophet, Bloodletter (a scholar and conqueror, father of the faith).
Central Tenets: Ogre supremacy, lesser races paying tribute and accepting ogre guidance, staving off the descent into barbarism that all ogres are prone to.
Holy Seat: High Seat The Maw
Adherents: 0.5% Ogres (priestly caste), 99.5% other races.
Heresies and Competing Religions:
The Ogre Shepherds: Heresy.  Pacifistic ogre religion based off preventing barbarism through peace and acceptance rather than dominion, acting as advisors to lesser races rather than rulers.
The Blood Court: Heathens.  Henotheistic church of Wrath that accepts teachings of rage, conquest and dominion but does not accept ogre supremacy; rather that followers of Wrath should be dominant regardless of race.
The Hexarchy: Heathens.  Major polytheistic religion incorporating the other six main gods (Peace, Hope, Joy, Vigilance, Wisdom and Industry) which standard Wrath dogma rejects as not wanting to play ball.
Starting Crisis: Succession crisis.  When the Ogre Pope dies, all ogres are nominally in the running to be the new Pope and can declare themselves such.  Only when every other ogre has renounced their claim (either voluntarily or via death) and a single Pope exists can they be confirmed as the true Ogre Pope.  Right now you are head of one of the major factions supporting your claim, but there are plenty of other Pope Pretenders after your blood.

C!  Full nocturnal royal hunt time!

Pork will be going with the traditional avenue of tax dodging through complicated legal loopholes for now.  An annoying technically loyal non-complier is more likely to get an angry taxman than an angry army.

Edit:  Let's throw a quick letter in.

Spoiler: Public Tax Fluff (click to show/hide)

Tax Situation: Cite the legal claim that personal, ancestral aristocratic land is exempt from tax and that tax revenues are based off the last census taken 8 years ago (prior to the agricultural restoration).  Given that this raises a figure of £25 p.a. (the pure Cotton income) the Principality of Pork is quite happy to pay 20% of that figure for the last five years - or £25.  This is, of course, perfectly in line with Boar's Peak's earnings as recorded in the last census.  In short, bury the tax assessor in legalese.

NB:  Spend up to £75 on hiring top-notch tax lawyers to push this through, for a total expense of £100.

Funnily enough, that's an accurate description of our solution to the pork problem.

You enjoy sneaking around, but sometimes it's just more fun to let loose and start killing things.

Quote
8!!, 2

You leap out and exhale a massive gout of smoky red flame, twisting your head as you do so to capture as many lizards as possible.  They are pretty vulnerable individually, and nothing spreads out mass damage like fire.  You actually manage to capture more than half of them in this initial blast, although the exertion leaves you vulnerable and a couple of them manage to rake their claws down your side while you are distracted, leaving some pretty deep gouges and drawing blood.

Quote
7!, 10!!!

You turn about, spitting out a spiral of flame at the remaining lizards, and you catch six more of them in the blast.  Only the two on your sides escape, and your wriggling loosens them.  You immediately turn upon both and fillet them with deadly grace.  Then all that remains is to cook the remainder of your meal and feast.

This has been somewhat glorious.  Your ancestors are piqued, but not impressed enough to grant you a boon yet.

After finishing your repast, you stretch out and enjoy the sensation of fullness and the warmth of the sun on your scales.  Spit-lizard colonies like this should suit the gap in your appetite nicely, leaving you free to worry about other things.  Their skinned hides aren't bad either, and you add {850 silver coins'} worth of pelts to your hoard.  Your side still stings, and it is an injury, but you can heal that when you sleep.

A) And why not do so now?  Head back to your lair and sleep off the wound.
B) Relax, spend some time hunting for pelts and feathers, take a tour around the swamps.
C) Head back to the lair, do some light hunting, and wait for Gugujib to show up.
D) Something else?
