Life Advice / Re: Good movies.

Zardoz. It's got Connery, how can it go wrong?

If you want a genuinely good weird movie, then I recommend Brazil.

I read about it here first, but he referred to the Epoch Times article. I don't really know anything about the claims, but the tool itself looks silly and most of all reminded me of this. I guess the reference might have gone past some people :)

Would have been much stranger if some of them didn't.

You don't have to, if that's any comfort.

Hmm. The chap who led the assault on the Bab al-Aziziya compound and is now a celebrated hero apparently has a history as a militant islamist (Abdul Hakim Belhaj or something). A bit troubling since he already seems to be popular, while the NTC leadership is still holed up in Benghazi.

fakeedit: They found Gaddafi's golf buggy. The humiliation is complete.

A lucky looter at the central compound just scored a solid gold AK. Came up to the cameraman to show it off.

edit: Raw live feed much of the time here.

Watching the overview of the Bab al-Aziziya compund and the fight for it on sky. It's serious endboss material. 6km^2 of bunkers, watchtowers and underground complexes. 3 layers of reinforced walls.

Apparently they've breached it from at least one side. The Sky reporter is right up against the wall and they're firing off rockets right next to her, trying to get through the wall while defenders are shooting back with heavy MG's.  It's really weird to watch this shit live.

fakeedit: Rebels have reached the famous golden fist crushing a US jet in the center of the compound. Looks like they're happy about that.

b. Choose the best and most representative photo; put it on Facebook in a single album, dress it up, make it exciting, whatever.  In the description, add the Picasa link.

Have you thought about sharing them via flickr?

Hmm, flickr is compelling. At least they seem to have some sort of facebook integration. Downside: I will have to get a premium account since their free accounts limits are so 2004. Taking one picture and just linking to the gallery in its description is a good alternative, albeit a little bodgy.

Must mull this over for a while. Thanks for the tips.

At my workplace, not having coffee breath is considered suspicious.

Ghhhhh.

I have a facebook account, which I hate and try to avoid as much as possible. I have a bunch of photos and videos from this year's vacation in Picasa albums that I'm supposed to share on Facebook. Anyone know a good way of sharing these web albums on FB without putting it all in FB albums? Or any other good options besides Picasa that lets me share albums via facebook without actually uploading to facebook?

Software patents only have to describe a method. Add a pretty flowchart or diagram and it's golden.
Here's a great example. Anyone with a little programming experience will notice why this patent is problematic.

I assume it works like salted corn does, with bringing out the flavor.

I think you should expand on this hypothesis and try buttering your watermelon as well.

Read a few articles on Libya on the Russia Today website. Anyone feeling gloomy over the state of journalism in western countries can perhaps find a slight comfort in knowing that it could be plenty worse.

I've had plenty of melon with cured ham. It does indeed work well in combination.
