Has anyone tried doing a DnD game set in the dwarf fortress world? All players would of course be dwarves, and the campaign would be epically dwarfic. I would be very interested in playing in a game such as this though i have very little Dming experience, but would deffinitely play and help with RPage or create a campaign for a game. We could even use a random world and play in that one.

I suggest we use (Please remove link if you feel its advertising or whatever) www.dndonlinegames.com Simply because you can create your own forum and has rolling built in.

Would deffinitely like to get some interest in this

I read from dwarf fortress wiki that building destroyers can't destroy artifact buildings and I happen to have one artifact door lying about. This would make it easier to contain if it's true.

If this is true, This makes artifact buildings much, much more awesome. (CMOOOOON ARTIFACT BAUXITE FLOODGATE!!!)

I always modded out trap avoid. I want the option to use how many traps i want. I have a 40 dwarf fort right now with orcs, but i only have 4 weapon traps. (PLUS, WHAT IF YOU WANT TO CAGE THEM?)

Just mod out trapavoid.

Yea, It was weird. I think the wyvern had the theif tag, as he would steal socks from dead dwarves MILES away from the fortress and i' always get "Skeletal wyvern has stolen *Pig tail sock*!" He never stole ANYTHING else except their socks.

Pff. Thats nothing. One year i defeated an ambush of Fourty Four Zombie Rabbits.

That was before the Skeletal Wyvern showed up though. (Who kept stealing socks and running away..never did figure that out..)

People generally say that in your fourth year the goblins will come, but in vanilla DF I have actually never had a goblin siege. Kobold assaults will come if you have had a significant amount of stuff stolen by thieves.

I channelled out the roof over a farm plot, then constructed a farm underneath it. The options for blade weed, radish and turnips come up. After selecting which to plant in every season, he simply does not plant them. He carefully works over the indoor farm next to it.

Pretty sure they stop at 2nd cousins, as under relationships it lists cousins as family, but i dont think 2nd cousins are listed as anything.

My hermit currently will not stockpile prepared foods. He will create them, haul all the bones away to their stockpiles after  butchering, but he refuses to move the food to my Prepared food enabled stockpile. So they quickly rot in the kitchen.. This is a big problem for me as i have many items that i need to survive that can only be eaten after cooking.  He has food haulling enabled, and if its the only thing i enable on him he just sits there with -no job-

"dwarves gather food" order also enabled.

He will haul them to the refuse room directly after they rot.

Start off with 7 military non-marksman dwarves and build a butchery. Use your butchery as youre only source of food.

Im playing Hermit so my Migrant waves are always very "fun."

This 18 strong man migrant wave came in on the edge of a map with a 9 strong kobold assault group, I drafted them immediately. About 6 of them died, killing all the kobolds under mass wrestling bodies. So they continue them, i un conscript them and they walk straight into a Skeletal Giant Eagle. Re-draft. The eagle butchers the next 10, leaving 2 to bleed to death as it flies off, probably having grown bored. The eagle only had a yellow knee =/

Worst migrant luck ever.

I found a spot with evil mountings, wilderness plains and a mirithful forest. Will the area spawn all creatures of these 3 areas, will they spawn only from the majority or will the creatures confine themselves to one side of the embark?
