Basically how I see it.

Piercing-->Great vs unarmored as it will likely pierce an organ, horrible vs armored as it cant get past the armor

slashing -> Decent vs armored or unarmored

Bashing -> less effective then slashing or piercing vs unarmored, but will ignore armor in a lot of cases *Shattering the bone through the iron greaves*

People have said that changing farming back is easy by utilizing the tags in the plants raws (I've found these) But I'm not exactly sure which tag I need to add/remove. Thanks in advance (I posted in the other threads but no one answered me.)

Yeah, that happens when there's nothing to fish in the general area as the magma pipe.

I had that one when I embarked just to make adamantine stuff for my adventurer. I didnt take a screeny but it did give me pause heh. The message was exactly that too

well it worked on mine... wait the [ADVTIER:7] you got a ton of civs? Try genning a very large map, and tweaking the max civs to 60 instead of 50 and turn the savagry down, I genned with a very large map and I have at least 5-6 civs, plus yours for the testing, Orcs, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Dark Dwarves, Kobolds, Giant Roaches, and Urk Dashas + Skeleton thats 9 civs... I should gen with a smaller map. Try that, its pulling a "Screamer" moment on you (creature I created but it never shows up)


Thats what i thought too so I input it into a vanilla DF and still does not work. No skeleton civs exist whatsoever.

You can still select various civs, so even if you have just dwarves, you still can select various dwarven civilizations. I.e. if you don't want to be Picks of Breakfast, you can select Beards of Gold.

Been playing DF for a year or two. Learn something new everyday.


Edit: Having a go with hobbits. Great fun! My dwellings are half above ground half below-ground, and food income is 50% foraging 25% fishing 25% farming. Pretty cool. The foraging doesent yield nearly as much food per hobbit but you get some....interesting stuff in this mod.

One of the info screens is the list of avaliable civilizations and races. Pretty easy.

nevermind. I took "your civilizations" to mean "your dwarven civilizations"

Nope removed that awhile ago when removing redundant/ non functional tags

Press Tab a couple times at the embark map.
They're displayed by their names, but if you tab some more, your civ is always displayed at the top of the Neighbors list.


Explain... Tab for me just switches the info screens..
