Ah yes, the Great War of Magic. Many fell beasts were created, and their bones still litter the world's sedimentary layers, covered by the ash of a super magical explosion that ended the war, and changed the world... forever.

I'm currently helping with the moon cloak project. It's stagnated where it is today, and has been for a few million years. We just can't build up enough power to cloak it 24/7. We usually only end up with a full cloak once a month, and the rest of the month the cloak only has partial power. One day of the month, the thing even shuts fully off!

Anyone got ideas? Magma isn't an option because the moon doesn't have magma, and we can't steal from earth.
I don't know what moon you are on.  Mine doesn't let your sort land on it.  On my moon, we get /results/ the same way we got the cloak.  From the /future/.
Oh, I'm from that other dimension. You know that one? We've got dwarfs.

Because the moon has the ability to reflect the sun's rays as lasers at aliens. And only aliens (otherwise we would all be crispy crunchies by now). And the moon has a trigger-happy personality.
So that's why I feel abit more hairy and full of energy at full moon..

No that's... another reason.   :-\

In the form of "smart matter". it will be one of the results of the singularity. such an exciting thought, wish that i could live to see it though.....

I agree, but in the form of "Magical Girls". It will be the result of secret government research into alien technology from another dimension. Such an exciting idea! ... Pity we won't survive the plot-integral alien invasion.

Perpetual motion is a dwarvenly pastime. And perhaps I want to connect different levers to different things, and one lever to in the darkness bind them. For example: 10 levers to open 10 different bridges, and one lever to flip all the levers and thus open all the bridges.

Or one lever to flip a lever, which then flips the first lever, and on and on.

This is less efficient than simply linking one lever to 10 bridges, but it would still be useful to have the various triggers to be able to trigger each other.
