I should note that, at the moment, you should definitely not try to modify the stuff in these art files that are not single use only. ie. bed and logs. Plants and stone can be changed to different tiles in the matgloss files. Ground tile can't.

There are currently 256 tiles (16x16). It goes from Tile 0 to Tile 255. There is no xy format.

I'll have to try this out, but you should be able to do this by altering the matgloss files in RAW and extending the art files.

They only 'own' them as part of the fortress. Private citizens can purchase the shops in order to sell things and make a lot of money.

My fortress of Rivergaze has a massive 16 story tower (max height), full of prison cells. It is made entirely from chalk, as is the small fort surrounding it. I would call it the white tower, but it seems eternally stained with blood.

Far beneath the surface, I am slowly constructing a massive catacombs with various nefarious and inventive traps. It is quite impressive. I plan to seal off the commoners coffins with stone.

Slightly above this, a massive meeting room. Once complete, I hope it will cycle water in a manner that means it will cause a constant waterfall.
It will be known as the room of mists. The floor will be a decorative morass of grates and engravings. Again, made from chalk.

In the latest version, when I sell a large amount of stuff, and only take everything I can in cash from the merchant without going over, my comrades turn on me.

Yep, that's what causes it. I also notice that 2nd level detailing on walls only seems to undesignate whenever someone working on it stops halfway.

Yeah, bit of an exploit not sure Toady is aware of. You get 30xp in throwing anytime you throw stuff at anyone. Or anything. Even the ground. This allows you to become tremendously good with throwing, and also increases your agility, strength, etc.

Pretty sure this is not intended.
