I have an idea...

Can you give goblins weapons?

I'd like to give them a bunch of masterwork steel weapons and shields (can't give em armor, can I, eh?)

Then set them against swarms of war animals.

And reward, yes, reward, the ones that pass this test by... setting them free.

It's the Roman Games, everyone! (Hell, I even give my dwarfs tunics and togas!)

1. How do I get this 40d4?


2. Sometimes, when I'm moseying along with shift+arrow, or sometimes just arrow, it goes up one z-level. Sometimes it just keeps going up and up and up and up.

Anyone else getting this?

yeah, they appear to be hungry, and a weaver who went fay decided to stand on a table for a month, without telling me anything, and then proceeded to go insane and get picked to death by my miners...and I have set a few people to fishing, set a guy to hunting, got a farm somewhat set up...its a bit of a bump in the road for my kingdom/castle megaproject but hopefully I'll get over it.
They only tell you what they want when they take a workshop. Next time something like this happens, look at his skills and build each workshop that correlates with the skill. If that fails, build a craftsdwarfs shop.

You have to process raw fish before they are eaten.

Get more. Anyone not doing anything, set them to either farming or hunting. Dooo iiiit.

So ancient portals would probably be there forever?

Eventually, say 100 years into world gen, the surroundings might decay. Maybe a portal in an area would turn the area Haunted?

This may be be seeing things, but I think your stairs are messed up.

It should be..

......
..<.. Top level.
......
......

......
......
..>< Lower level.
......
......

> = Up stair.

< = Down stair.

In other words, make sure the Up stair is DIRECTLY beneath the down stair.
