I found a mod for Operation Flashpoint the other day that incorporated most, if not all of the units and vehicles for the 40k factions that it encompasses into the game. Looks pretty cool, if you can stand the fact that OFP is almost a decade old now.

I'm the worst kind of heretic. I paint without primer, or a base coat, and use non-citadel paints. I used lacquer car paints from some random store brand. I also use Popsicle sticks to mix, and toothpicks to paint.
And the worst part is, it doesn't look bad.

I'm interested in seeing some pictures!

EDIT:
Oops. Sorry for the double post, completely forget I even posted in here a few minutes ago.

Man, I think England actually gets GW stuff cheaper than America. There's a first time for everything I suppose.

Maybe something to do with the fact GW was founded in England.

I'm not going to go all fanboy and say that the prices aren't unfair. Because they are. But I enjoy the hobby so much that really I'm willing to pay that much for it, considering the time it takes me to make things and paint them, it offers me more time and enjoyment for my money than any other entertainment outlet.

Yes, the Black Reach set is mostly geared toward delivering roughly the same number of models rather than conforming to the point value when deciding the contribution of models. If that were the case, then there'd be something like a 3:1 Ork:Smurf ratio. My favourite part of Black Reach is the warboss and the Dethkoptas, and is pretty much the only reason I bought it.

If you really know what you want, then I recommend buying the Battleforce for the army you are interested in. It is the same price as Black Reach, but contains a whole bunch of models that aren't dumbed down and are more point friendly.

The pictures on the site don't actully show the sprue. The first picture is a few boyz, and the second one is the box cover, which has a nob on it, but the description of the set doesn't include him.

The set contains 10 boys and 1 nob leader. With lots of added accessories. I've bought an asstonne of them so trust me on this one.
Also if you want to buy 2 sets of boys and a warbiker mob, it'd be better to invest in an Ork Battleforce, since you'd get a Trukk with it for a tiny bit extra.

The battleforce is no different from buying them seperately. You get the exact same sprues that you get in the seperate boxes.

Yesterday I had an inner battle between my Warhammer fanaticism and my wallet.

Warhammer won. I bought the Bloodbowl: Legendary Edition, and looking forward to playing it once it downloads.
Anyone else who owns the game, and wants to thrash a newbie, give us a call!

If anyone is interested in the progress of my Black Reach set, then I've filmed a short overview of the units I've put together so far.
Keep in mind, I've never constructed, painted or undertaken anything like this before in my life. I hope that adds to the pity factor when I look like a small child showing off his primitive macaroni art to a group of extremely talented artists.
If there's one thing I'm not entirely happy with, it's the skin. I should probably look up some techniques online, but everything I've done so far has totally been of my own volition and testing.

Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.

Also, please excuse the girlfriend playing Fallout in the background. I could not persuade her to vacate my space to film the video.

EDIT:
Anyone who's interested in the Dethkopta...
Should click here.

They look good to me.

Thanks very much!
Since those were painted, I've adapted a lot of my techniques and come up with a new way to do the skin, which I'm thoroughly happy with. I used all of these techniques on the warboss that came with Black Reach, and he really does look quite nice. I plan to throw up another video of that some time very soon, so for anyone who's interested in that, it'll be there soon!

The only dampener is I went down to my "local" GW yesterday and bought well over £100 of shiny (Or, well, rusty, if you think about it) new Ork stuff, and the only part of my current Black Reach army that I'm making obsolete is the war boss in place of a Big Mek, since I'm doing Evil Sunz. Poor Ork. He'll probably take up a place on my shelf.

I can barely get past the character creation, and the tutorial gave me a single screen before failing to tell me anything else.

How do I talk to NPCs?
How do I train skills?
How do I attack?

I hear that most of the Anime games on BYOND are spawned from the same code that was either ripped or made public some years ago. I'm not entirely sure on whether that's true or not, so don't hold it against me.

As for the game, I'm really not into Naruto, and BYOND seems to be nearly impossible for these kind of games. I'll have a look, but I'm already certain I probably won't like it.
