Chernobyl was a PoS, and IIRC was basically the "perfect storm" of reactor disasters. Modern reactors are designed to automatically shut down when they lose power. More dangerous in this case is the coolant flow to the storage areas.

Thankfully, nuclear reactors don't 'blast', so at least they don't have to worry about that.

Hope they tun down the flight a bit, and make it a bit more violent. Looks great, but the whole "Pound the enemy ____ until his HP is gone!" thing gets boring after a while.

You're supposed to give that money back to the Student Loan Agency so you don't have to pay it all back with interest later when you're trying to find a job.
The smart thing is to stockpile it for next semester because they can and will refuse to give you money 'till a fifth of the class has passed. Apparently the concept of buying the books you need for the class at the start of the class is beyond them.
This. Jesus this. Wasting 600$ on games is ridiculous, when any number of things could go wrong. Your school could screw up and fail to pay out grants for months. This happened. Mine is under investigation, apparently, because they basically failed to pay out pell to everyone well into the semester. Your car could break down, or you could get sick. There are lots of things that can go wrong. Don't waste it on video games.

(I can't believe I'm actually saying this  :o)

Compare the first five pages of GD with the last five. That's all that needs to be said about degeneracy, really.

Apparently starting with tech level 30 just means remnants start even higher.
So yea, after commanding my planet to fly to another system and open up with 3 planetary lasers on a remnant, the thing blew through the shields in one hit, sterilizing my only planet.

- Improved match-making system for random battles.
- Added customizable controls.

About time!

you know guys if the matchmaking system actually worked, the Hetzer instead of being an incredibly horrible grind would be an overpowered son of a bitch.

When you get a Hetzer in a low tier match they always seem to at best 3 shot me and all my shots if im not using HE bounce off their ridiculously angled front armor.
That is the point. They're tank destroyers meant to stand up to similar sized tanks in a slugging match. Have to flank them or track them. Most of the TDs seem to be slotted into matches way beyond their realistic tier except for panzerjager/AT-1, which both can still sometimes get stuck in T4 matches

Anyone else playing this much? I've been contributing to their forums under the name Dahak :D

It's certainly a bit unpolished, but definitely worth the $25. Even unfinished, the game has more design depth with ships than any I've ever played before. Tiny changes in a ship can Double, triple, etc its effectiveness. The AI is a bit weak ATM, but improving. The devs work extremely fast, and talk with the playerbase plenty. They also listen to suggestions, and several recent suggestions have been picked up for implementation in the very next weeks patch.

I've been doing A LOT of experimentation and the such recently, both for bug reporting, as well as perfecting some of my concepts. Even if you know some of the grammatically strange things (Damage reduction on armor is actually absorption, hull DR is a percent that is absorbed, and so on), there's still an incredible amount to learn in ship design and the such.

i convinced her to break up with her boyfriend since he's kind of a jerk (actually i just don't like him he spouts memes also she was like his only friend) which was really easy

The first step you take is to sabotage her relationship just because you don't like the guy? Before you're even interested in her yourself? And she likes him?
well, okay. The guy had lolcats as his facebook profile picture and 'icanhascheezburger.com' under his likes/interests. even if I wasn't interested in her at that point (i kinda was but not really) i did it for her. The guy had absolutely no redeeming traits. she's better off without him. also the guy was really annoying when i went to school with him, but that's only kind of related.
To give evidence of how irredeemable he is, you said that he has lolcats for a profile picture? Man, that's just the worst. This is more terrible than when Lex Luthor stole forty cakes. Suddenly I understand everything.

If you're really interested in that case, try and get one without a PSU. The PSUs that come with cases tend to not necessarily have a guarantee of quality for a gaming rig :P

I think I've had exactly one software crash with Win7 in 2-3 years, and it was due to a graphics driver causing a Halt or whatever it's called. Outside of that, Win7 has been freaking rock stable for me, and on any decent hardware, smoking fast, easily an improvement over XP for my computer. Again, exactly one piece of Malware, and that was due to User Error - this is with no AV running at all.

As for the OP, might also want to look at Newegg or a custom builder like cyberpowerpc. They sometimes have some cheap deals on the later, and I've seen some pretty excellent laptops on the former.

Fake Edit: Even vista didn't crash much for me, and that's sharing the computer with my dad. Of course, vista also ran like crap, but I'll blame that on my dad for now.

Love all the "do it for their own good; they're practically slaves! they take jobs noone else will do because the jobs are bad!" crap. Because obviously they still go through the HELL of getting here to become a slave, rather than work a decent and respectable job as a white collar business man in their home country! The reason the jobs are ones that no one else will take is that a fair portion of Americans are too god damn prissy to take the job, and would rather stay unemployed. That's also pretty insulting both to slaves and the intelligence of illegal immigrants.
Depending on the country in particular, minimum wage per month in the US can be higher than YEARLY wage for some people. In the Philippines (even though you don't see many illegal immigrants from there!  :P) a fairly average wage is about $2 USD a day. That's under 1k a year if you work every single day. The spare change of a few people working minimum wage, living in a cheap place can be a HUGE income boost for families back home.

As much as I agree on immigration needing to be easier... fat chance actually seeing the powers that be make it happen.
