I love to visit the old forums to see pro-genocide activists wearing down people futilely trying to say that killing innocent children is bad, actually.

The terrible people complaining about having to be respectful and use the appropriate pronouns have been around before and are nothing new. Honestly, I'm kinda surprised/glad to see this much pushback against the abject nastiness.

It's not even that funny because he saved obamacare as literally the deciding vote against repeal

My dude he supported the repeal of Obamacare after his 'deciding vote', specifically the tax bill that did get passed and repeal obamacare which he did not vote against. Hagiographies suck.

etc

Does being a master of polite dialogue with nazis mean pretending that you being wrong about what I said never happened? At least apologise.

A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument which was not advanced by that opponent.

So yes, that's exactly what you did.

Show me where I 'gave the impression of refuting an opponent's argument'.

we should sit down and have a nice talk with them about the pros and cons of killing minorities, and then proceed to do absolutely nothing else. Also, real reason there are so many Nazis? We won World War 2. If only we had lost it, we could have really stopped them.

Nobody actually said any of those things. You are implying that this is what they literally want or argued for, and you did not do it accidentally. So, yes, that is a strawman by definition of strawman.

No it's not. Where am I giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument?

Truthfully, if we want to stop Nazism, we should sit down and have a nice talk with them about the pros and cons of killing minorities, and then proceed to do absolutely nothing else. Also, real reason there are so many Nazis? We won World War 2. If only we had lost it, we could have really stopped them.

Nice strawman.

You're using the word 'strawman' incorrectly. It doesn't mean that.

You just approve of other people punching them so you can feel big and tough by proxy.

You're projecting.

What they actually mean by "punch a nazi" is "punch all Republicans", because bona fide actual Nazis are rare enough to not really need a lot of punching to keep them down even in the worst-case scenario.

Dude was wearing a nazi armband and harassing black people. That's who we're discussing being okay punching. Don't be disingenuous.

If you do get a general tech job, you may look for tech support or QA stuff. Typically, getting an internal promotion from a non-development job to a development job will be easier than from outside the company.

Unpopular/controversial opinion: White supremacists are genetically predisposed to being less intelligent and have a higher occurrence of obesity.

I only played Sunless Seas quite a while after release, but I really enjoyed it. The combat was easy and simplistic for the most part, but I didn't find that taking away from my enjoyment.

Dude has a limited amount of time to deal with stuff. People mutually deciding to not act in dickholish ways is far better than acting however and then asking an outside entity to tell us if we're doing good or not.
