First karma issue already :P.  I'll take a quick glance at that game.

@Pandar

You sure Cheeetar was one of the flakees?

Edit (gotta remind myself this isn't a Mafia :P):  Ok, writing as I'm reading.

I tend to read 'active' as posting once a day, btw,, though not doing so isn't exactly 'inactive'.

Cheeetar was active from the start to June 2nd. Two others post, then nothing from anyone for a day.  June 4th, others post up, though not Cheeetar.  after that, silence till Panda's *cough* June 8th.  June 12th A post is made to request No Lynch.  Cheeetar is the second to post then.  No Lynch called, Night occurs.

Day 2, June 19th.  IT's ALIVE!  Lots of activity.  Cheeetar's first post is on the 21st, then Complete Silence for about 19 days.

By then, yah.. dead thread.

Inalulct and a few others, it seems, was a big reason why this one died.  Folks kept referencing them or wanting them to talk but they never showed.  That causes the questioners to go quiet while they wait for answers.  A chain reaction occurs soon after.

As for Cheeetar, he didn't flake, but he went inactive a good few times when the game was still going on.  -5 is a bit much compared to what some of the other folks did.  There were three times before the game died that Cheeetar could've posted but didn't.  I'll mark those as 'prods'.  First one is free, second and third get marked.

Thus, I'd put it at -3 Karma.

Updating accordingly, but note that my word is NOT the final say.  Host gets the final word if he has a reasonable explanation for it.

Shit, I forgot to unvote Org.

That reminds me, I have a randomvote to continue. ExKirby, what do you think the colors mean?

Hey Pandar.

You're WILLING to lynch your randomvote when all you had was a small question for him?

If all you had was a randomvote.. why is you vote still on him?

If you have more, why do I have to distract my own bandwagon just to pull it out of you?

Less fussing, more responding.

Is that a proper answer?

Did I miss an issue you still have?

Or do you still call me a liar?

Very well.  Pulling from your past post, which, was simply hanging on another person's argument:

Quote
Let's consider the scenarios:

A) There is a role which has a list of all the colours (and the roles that they have)

B) Scum have a list of all the colours (and the roles that they have)

C) This is a ploy by webadict to spread distrust throughout us all.

If B is true, then claiming our colours is the worst thing we can possibly do. If A is true, it's still bad, but not as bad. If C is true, it doesn't really matter either way. If A is true, then there's likely another role which can determine the colour someone has, but not the role.

Now, our lack of knowledge regarding this can be used by clever mafia very easily. They can try and trick us into thinking that:

A) Our colours mean nothing (if they do; they'll try and get us to claim in an effort to prove their theory while simultaneously getting a list of who has what role )
or
B) Our colours mean something (if they don't, then they'll try and spread misinformation, suggesting that our colours are important/do mean something and anyone who colour claims will immediately appear scummy. Admittedly, alone, there aren't many foreseeable advantages to this, but if there is a role that determines colours, and that role thinks that the colours mean something, then much fun could be had.)

Anyone suggesting that we claim our colours is scummy, Dakarian. I may have been more accurate with my random vote than I thought.

Furthermore, you say that your colour doesn't fit your role; this implies that you have a role which doesn't suit your colour.
Ex: Blue cop, green doctor, red mafia.

Since the only thing you added was WIFOM I imagine this is the inkstain.

As I said before, my color (red) does NOT fit my role.  Matched with my belief that there's a better chance that the colors are something to either red herring us (though that's more recently) or cause us trouble (original idea) than it is something that benefits the mafia, I do not see a problem with us learning more about our colors.

That's the reasoning behind my actions.

So far, your only response from you is WIFOM.

If you believe I'm just plain old lying and that's that then you DON'T have an argument for me and you just want me dead.  Take responsibility then and get the town after me.  If you believe my argument mostly but still have some specific issue then stop referencing and voice them specifically.  If you believe me and you have nothing to add then what's left for you to consider me scummy?

This = not answers?

If individuals decide to overlurk or just plain flake, the mod then starts prodding, then replacing them.  Note we have a karma system so such things are now tracked.

If the town as a whole starts to drag on, web CAN establish a deadline.  It's usually a bad sign since it means we aren't attacking/asking questions/analyzing or other assorted scumhunting.  There's really NO reason for us NOT to keep talking until all mafia are 100% known.

note, the person under fire, ExKirby, has an odd playing time so bear in mind that all of the questions we have for him won't get addressed until we're all mostly away from the comp.

Also note: at this point is IS best for us to give him a chance to speak before lynching him off.  I know I'm still at the "deeply question him" phase.  When I get to "Ok, he needs to die" you'll spot it very easily.

As I would say: you can't go wrong with adding more Crazy.

So instead of changing the name.. just make the roles even more rediculous.  #&(*%$, Just Bastardize it.  We don't have enough Bastard games running around.

Death Miller FTW!

This game works differently from others.  Instead of a deadline, there's a Hammer.

Basically, the host is waiting for over half the town to vote on the same person.  The second that happens, that person is considered lynched no matter if the host is there to report it.

Since we have 9 people, it takes 5 people on the same person to lynch.  The SECOND that 5th vote comes in, Exkirby will be lynched and the day is over.  Even if the host doesn't show immediately.. even if someone unvotes right after, it doesn't matter: he's dead and once the host comes it will be night.

With Vector's vote, ExKirby is at 4 votes, known to some as N-1.  At this point, he has as much pressure as you can give him without actually killing him.

Traditionally, we leave him on this point and make him talk to make SURE that the person is scum before killing.  It's not over for him yet: you can be at this point and still live if we pull off (and it's normal to do so) but the time for jokes and 'maybe' comments is OVER.

The last person to put a vote in is called the hammer.  Once that vote goes in, the day is DONE and ExKirby is dead.  Depending on how web is playing this, he might not even allow him or anyone else to talk after that point even if the host hasn't showed up.  In case that's true, it's best to get EVERYTHING you want to say to him and us out NOW before that happens.

On the cultists:

Still worried that the game will become too warped with them around.  Cults hog attention worse than the mafia does.  As such, the town can easily forget the dopps just to go cult hunting.

So I'm VERY worried about a fully recruiting cult.

Vampire:

VERY random version of a cult, ranging from 1-night losing to slaughtering everyone (if several vamps are made).

Alternative:  The vampire MUST feed off a player every night.  To do so, they have two options:

1. Feed: This option kills the victim.  Works on all players.
2. Prepare:  Prepared the victim for conversion by partial feeding. No effect is shown.

If you Feed, you must do it every night to sustain yourself.  It is a physical action.  If blocked by a bodyguard, you feed off the bodyguard.  If you are actually stopped (roleblock, guardian, ext.) you die.

If you Prepare a victim one night, you MUST return to them the next night.  Then, you finish feeding from them, if they are human, you then perform a ritual turning them into a vampire.  The new vampire retains their old powers but has the same feeding requirements and new win condition you do.

Note that if they are not human (cult, dopp, alien) they die.  If they are not alive for the second night or you are somehow stopped from reaching them, you die.

To win, at least one vampire must exist by the end of the game.  This goes for the original and newly made vampires (who lose their old win requirements).  This does not get in the way of other requirements (including the watcher)

Result: a Survivor that is a hybrid SK/recuiter.  To live they MUST kill or attempt a recruit.  Recruiting helps ensure victory but is risky since you cannot switch targets for two nights.

Leaning: Slightly anti-town due to the Survive feature and the wish to kill those that probably will not be affected by the guardian.  Can be played pro-town if they rely on conversion (since it will kill dopps/cults but not humans).

Warewolf:

One change: Use the alternative version and make the ability uncontrollable even after the first time.  Thus it turns into something like a Crazy doc role (sometimes kills, sometimes uses power).

Robot:

That's just a Bulletproof Survivor.  There's not much really to it that the Alien Survivor doesn't have.

I'll add one, pulled from Religion Mafia

Virus maker.

Each night, you will infect a player with a virus.  The virus leaves the person sick for one night (roleblocked) in a way similar to the appearance of other roleblockers (the 'block message' matches other roleblock messages).  After that, the virus survives for one day then is killed by the player's antibodies.

At the end of the following day, whoever the infected player votes for becomes infected with the same effects.  If the person voted on is lynched or dies in another fashion, the virus dies in the new host.  If the old host is lynched but voted on another, the virus is transferred before the lynch.

For the virus maker to win, over half the town must be infected by an active virus when the game ends.

1 request to shorten acknoledged.  Need 2 more requests with no objections to shorten.

Note, given that the shortening is for midnight, if the requests are made after midnight, it will result in the day ending.

WIFOM I deem as a scumtell by design, since that's their most powerful weapon.

self-Metatalk is not only a null tell, but I then deem all tells based on that meta that I picked up null tells.

I tend to rely on motive analysis in the late game anyway, rather than meta/tells.

Updated, and we have our first negatives.

Going to assume that the folks in Para all showed up.  If there's cases otherwise, just post them up and I'll update.

Sidenote: by 'update' I also mean 'give the hosts their credit'.

If the game you hosted isn't on the 'games played' list, send a post about it.  If the game you played isn't in there, bug the host :P

@Diakron

We just got to the point where we can recognize your 'personality' so as to avoid autolynching.

@Toony

I'm actually beginning to deem your scum/town tells as null tells.  Once it becomes commonplace it's very easy for the person to subvert it (purposely perform the town tell when mafia).

@Both

Generally, once the player knows their own tells, it's soon time to remove that tool when reading that person.  It means it's harder to read the person but that's how we all grow and improve as mafia players.
