Roughly made scan on interactions between players and Ino:

Pandarsenic = V Dakarian...was followed by inteuniso weak attack on same, spoke to inteuniso to defend dakarian, inteuniso agrees, later Pandar suggests inteuniso is dropping newtells and is a 'quantim org'

Vector = RV inteusino, hard attacks inteuniso, heavy attack on inteuniso near the end

dorf = attacked Vector's randomvote on inteusino, agrees that inteuniso might be newtelling, doesn't like int's inactivity but would rather lynch Mr.Person

Mr.Person = poke at inteuniso, comments that Int needs a prod

Zai = no interactions with int at all

inteuniso = 'awfully agressive' soft attack on Mr.Person, votes Vector, V Mr.Person later on and pushes hard

Given the matter early on where Pandar seems to be guiding int and int is listening closely followed by the suggestion that Int was newtelling rather than scumtelling.  Well, it goes back to Pandarsenic again.

Dorf defended Int but it has the sense of simply a newbie to newbie thing.

The last possibility is Zai, who didn't interact with Int at all (and the other way around).  However, that's fully in the dark since the reason is due to Zai's RL sickness keeping him from posting much at all Day 1.

Mr.Person was attacked VERY hard by Int.. thinking too hard for it to be staged.  Vector, meanwhile, pushed too hard on Int.

Pandarsenic, it just keeps coming back to you.  Btw, are you surprised only by int's death or by no OTHER kill occuring last night?

It is now morning.

Pandarsenic
Zai
inteuniso
Vector
Leafsnail
Webadict
ExKirby

Mr.Person

*GONG*

The third bell has now started to ring with a deafening roar.  Beside it, 2 bells remain silent while 2 others continue to rotate, though any noise they make is masked by the third bell's ear shattering noise. Another 10 minutes pass and now you can hear all 3 bells ringing together, creating a rather haunting melody.

Three bells now ring.

Deadline, Monday, 9pm EST

OR

9 alive, 5 to lynch.

Actually, Web does the reverse: he says to NOT send any role that requires heavy research.

So really you can do whatever you want with your game.  ALL that should be asked is to make it interesting whatever you do.

And balanced.  A vote stealing mafia with the ability to be converted is far too strong (if far too fun).

A VERY basic way to balance: Think of the fastest, easiest way for the town to win..assume everything works in their favor and they get super lucky.

Now look at it and ask yourself three questions:

1. What's the chance of that happening?

2. How hard will it be for the scum to keep it from happening?

3. How many days until the game ends under that situation?

Repeat for the scum with the same questions.

If #1 ends in anything but "Almost no chance in Hades" then the side is overpowered. Even saying "well, it's a rather poor chance" is too easy.  If #2 results in a "the other side really can't stop it from happening if it's actually happening." then the other side is too weak and needs a counter.

Example:  Basic game.. 2 mafia, 1 cop.

Town can win in 2 nights if the cop investigates both mafia and lives. It's not THAT easy a chance but it's a real possibility. The mafia can stop it but they have to be lucky to find the cop. Overall that's too much power.   Thus you add a Godfather so the cop can't just win the game.  An alternative is to give the scum a rolecop so they can look for the cop while doing nightkills.

#3..well.. I believe that a traditional game should have the mafia win in 3 days if everything works out for them.  That seems to balance things up nicely.  As for the town, I like trying to avoid the town winning in 1 night unless they are EXTREMELY LUCKY or the scum just stunk that badly.

Btw, if you like, ExKirby, I can help with balancing once you created all of the roles.

^ the above.  I choose the role Obvscum and ended up town miller.

ANY attempt to try to read a role name for alignment, especially since we pick the names before alignment is considered, is not just wine but attempting to outguess the mod, which is even worse.

HOWEVER, you CAN attempt to read a role name as far as possible actions are concerned, which is useful..for scum looking for targets.

Kashyyk, were you having such a hard time finding an easy lynch that you caused yourself to slip up and show your scum side?

Editing can turn a VERY NASTY scumtell into Wine very easily, especially if folks aren't watching you closely.  Also, townies will use editing to fix posts or to add content or any number of reasons, thus watering down the scumtell of editing.

And that's not considering evil moves like editing votes.  As such, every game I've seen here had the 'no editing' rule.

It's a little moot though.  If Org said "You MUST start every post with 'Blessed be to Org!'" as a full out rule then you would be in violation of a rule break if you didn't, especially if you did because you simply thought it was a bad rule.

The biggest key, though, is what Org said: it wasn't an accident but a purposeful rulebreak out of anger.  If she just had enough of the game she could've just let herself be lynched (the day was about over) or, better, ask for a replacement.

unvote ExKirby

Vote Kashyyk
: That's rolefishing while pretending not to rolefish.  Go ahead and explain how that question is meant to actually figure out alignment and not a mentality on what sorts of names Zai would give the host (and, thus, a mentality on what sort of role he might've picked)?

That'll work.  I'll update shortly.

Now all I need is Neruz to tell me about that Bastard Mod and I'll be up to date.

Not in but requesting a KWN:DE style guest pass.  I'd like a means to F&(*#% with the players for fun and profit.

Oh, and some cooking oil and salt.

Well it made me laugh, but I don't trust anyone that attempts to give me happy thoughts.

(especially my cats.  You get too comfortable with them curling up on your lap but they are just trying to put you to sleep so they can steal the food from your plate.  Jeesh, Litia knows how to hook french fries from the container without making a sound.)
