DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Falling damage nerfed?

A fall from 2 stories would only hurt you significantly if you tensed your muscles. Drunk people relax their muscles. Dwarves are always sauced. Do the math.

Dear dwarves of DakostDastot,

Please stop jumping into the contaminated river.

Yours truly,

Your annoyed overseer.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Settling in a haunted forest.

I haven't even gotten started yet, and it's raining loathsome filth. What a happy beginning for this no doubt successful fortress. I'm looking forward to more evil weather, the world I genned has 100 types of both evil rain and clouds. Stay tuned for more weather reports, I guess. Haha.

Weather Report #1:
Filth is raining from the skies. The dwarves are unhappy, but deal with it. Those exposed seem to be experiencing dizzyness. As a result, dwarves are now taking shelter underground. The hole is open to the surface, and air passes freely into it, so no cloud protection. I look forward to seeing more effects of evil weather.

Weather Report #2:
Filth again, this time causing blistering. Most dwarves are underground and do no experience this effect, but my woodcutter and carpenter are exposed. Still no defence against clouds.

Weather Report #3:
It's still raining filth, both the blistering and the dizzying kind. It's been raining so long, the entire map is now covered in filth. Going outside has become somewhat dangerous, despite the mild symptoms. Continual exposure to the filth causes serious blistering, forcing the dwarves to rest in a bed while recovering. As a result, not much hunting is getting done.

You need to put upright spears at the bottom, then.

I guess? It's changed my definition of what makes a game. That might become relevant when I become a game developer myself.

Dear Urist MCMilitaryCommander,

I know you hate snow. However, in the future, please shoot the Minotaur first.

Sincerely, Your overlord.

Sounds doable, though I'm no programmer so you won't see me making it. Still, I see no reason why this shouldn't be possible.

The German language is full of made-up words.  You can mash any number of words together and it becomes a valid word.
Danish works like that, too. It's wonderful!

Unfortunately, you're right. I'm not getting the same results as you. If it's not too much to ask, could you upload your genned world to dffd? I have to test a few things with this world. For !!science!!
