DF Gameplay Questions / Re: Recruit to Legendary Wrestler in three months?!?!

In my last fortress when I got my second immigrant wave I just turned bunch of soap makers and other no goods to fortress guard because I really couldn't be bothered to think real work for them. My barracks were build to the entrance so I pretty much forgot them there. Until not so much later when I noticed that one of them had just become legendary. Clearly I hadn't been paying enough attention when I checked it out and saw 5 blinking names in the unit list. My entire fortress guard of five were now legendary wrestlers, and I couldn't even turn of the guard thing anymore.
