I believe there is a way to put up stone walls, flood the chamber with magma, which melts the stone into a solid mass, and then carve it out again (might take double-thick walls?) - that would work, but it pushes this into the mini-mega project category.

you can make obsidian walls with water though, that can be engraved

my dwarfs all have a royal tomb.

It's sort of disappointing how none of the legends of dangerous creatures are true.

Carp? I don't recall ever losing a dwarf to one.

Elephants? I've had peasants take them down single handed.

Unicorns? Easily than elephants.

People see things like Boatmurdered and all these awesome drawings of dwarves getting eaten by carp, and they find the myths so entertaining that they pretend that they're true.

We need to get Toady to unemasculate wildlife. There are like, 10 types of dangerous animal in the game.

I once had a fortress near a large river, with hippos on land. I got an immigrant ranger so I drafted him to shoot some carp. A carp BIT HIS ARM OFF and he was laying uncounsious in the gras (lucky guy if he wasn't eaten by hippos a few moment later....

The problem with hippos is that they breed like rabbits, I started with 1 page of hippos, and ended with 5, before unleashing the legendary militairy to scourge all hippos. Though it came to late for 30 other dwarfes.

Your goddamn teacher thought that Brave New World was a good place!? I don't think that's because she was left wing, I think at that point it's outright stupidity. The AP English teacher at my high school is a real piece of work in that regard; it pains me to know that more exist.

The idea is not stupid, it is a world without poverty, crime and war and everyone is happy. If you compare it to our current world where thousands of people die every day because of malnutrition and war it is a paradise.
