The series is climaxing like a weeb over loli aheago porn. I was literally suprised by how different the episode felt, it feels like the whole giant train of buildup is slowly relasing it's brakes and it's now choo-chooing down the fucking mountain. Speaking of mountains, CLEGANEBOWL WHEN?!

Yup, we have reached the point where the series has completely outrun its source material. For season 6 they still had a lot of the not yet published Winds of Winter book to work with, but they are now writing the story based on general notes Martin gave them instead of on the actual completed books.

The quality of writing is definitely dropping, however it is still satisfying to see the conclusions to the storylines Martin set up.

Heh. Our Dutch state secretary of education was slapped on the wrist by the judges of the Raad van State (the Court that deals with cases vs the state).
Secretary Sander Dekker had refused to finance an islamic primary school, after one of it's board members refused to withdraw a statement from Facebook in which he swore allegiance to IS.
Dekker was of the opinion that the board members of the school were incapable of organizing education that improves citizenship and social integration, and thus did not approve of government funding for the school.

The judge however ruled that he did not properly motivate his grounds for not funding the school, and he is now forced to give them the funding after all.

This was yesterday's news.
Todays news: A group of 15 islamic primary schools in the Netherlands has made a joint statement in the NRC newspaper, condemning the new islamic school, and supporting Dekker in his original assessment to not approve funding.
"The board has absolutely no experience or affinity with education", and "they are cowboys with no heed for public interests".

Still, this doesn't change the judges' ruling. Coming september, 184 children in Amsterdam will start their education at a government funded islamic school with IS sympathies.

EDIT: ohwait, no, it's not a primary school, it's a highschool. The 15 islamic schools that wrote the letter are warning parents of islamic children that were on their primary schools not to send them to the new islamic highschool.

The board of this new Islamic school consists for a large part of the board of the previous Islamic highschool in Amsterdam, which was closed down because of failing education in 2010.

Yeah, it makes you easier to see. However, if you aren't Dscanning every FIVE seconds, you're doing it wrong. You'll see the combat probes first.

Things like this make is so annoying that there isn't any auto-Dscan.

It is just an UI issue. I don't find pressing the Dscan hotkey every 5 seconds particularly interesting.

Note that none of the Bangladese even have the slightest chance of getting a permit to stay. Bangladesh is a 'safe' country, they are all economic migrants and will not get a visum. However, Bangladesh has been refusing to let them back into the country.

Note entirely true. Sure, they probably won't get full refugee status, but Italian judges have given some kind of protections to at least a fourth of incoming Bengladeshi. (Source: Economist) It's the same retarded European Policy of making it really hard to get here, but being quite generous once you set foot on the continent.

I find the term "some form of protection" rather vague, what does it imply?

A twist we should have all seen coming and fuck your spoilers if you don't know it yet: Aizen was actually a good guy pretending to be a bad guy pretending to be a good guy so he could get the mc all hyped up when the bad guy who is actually the bad guy shows up and is like RAWR IMMA EAT ALL THE POWERMONS and bullshits half the cast into non-existence before the good-but-pretending-be-bad-pretending-to-be-good guy shows up and is like hey man don't worry if he's your real dad and I'm basically your creepy uncle at this point, just remember the most important thing:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I have always wondered why some people didn't realize Bleach was shit long before that.

I mean some people have to watch that for it to continue that long, right?

Hmmmm confidential information about our military, should this be encrypted?

Ha, you missed the best campaign: Vampire Counts.

They feel the most Warhammer like to me.

It takes some time to get used to their unique mechanics, but after that they are awesome.

They're basically mercenaries from the other games.

Those were pretty limited and usually of poor quality.

Is Sword Art Online good?

No. First half of the first season is decent enough, after that it becomes utter trash.

Somehow I keep wondering why the Targaryens didn't just occupy a super strategic fortress like dragonstone when it has been deserted for all that time....

Erdogan is very good with newspeak. Notice how PYD is never mentioned in Turkey without mentioning PKK and how one of the largest opposition parties has been named into FETO, the Fethullah Gullen terror organisation.

You know... maybe Trump won't build that wall... I mean he doesn't even have a viable design.
Was this ever in any question? It's an impossible megaproject and always has been.

It's not impossible, it is just stupidly expensive for no gains at all.

194
Military operations on this scale are super expensive.

I would be surprised if the soldiers got their pay in time.

It depends on the technology, but in general, Antioch, you're wrong.

It took the US and its industrial and scientific might (Along with dozens of refugee scientists and Albert Einstein's encouragement) more than a year to build a relatively weak atomic bomb. Granted, this was in WWII, but no country is likely to rush the program that fast, nor could they do open tests like America could. Basically, it's almost impossible to sneak a nuclear test somewhere, because the seismic activity and radiation generated is highly noticeable, even when detonated underground.

There are several nations in the world that already have the required plutonium stockpiled and the capability to produce as much as they need more.
