Turn 10

Quote from: Frelock
I'll try to find a mechanic who can teach me the basics of hyperdrive repair.
| You look around for a hyperdrive mechanic but are unable to find one. Hyperdrive repair is pretty advanced stuff afterall.

I'm going to twiddle my thumbs for a second before I try fixing the databank that... uh... Org broke. He did it. He was trying to change the operating system. Yeah.
You try to fix the databank. | You press a few buttons on the console but the only response you get is an annoying beeping noise. You take a second look at the screen and realize the databank is just recompiling is data and will be available for use in 2 turns.

I jettison the hyperdrive and pilot the ship away from it.
| Acting quickly you take control of the space claw and toss the hyperdrive out into space. Unfortunately while the hatch was open, the wing section, components and plasma cannon are pulled out into the vaccume. You then try and get as far away from the hyperdrive as possible. | You manage to clear the debris field and get a safe distance from the drive just as it overloads. The purple glow surrounding the hyperdrives expands in a sphere shape and envelopes almost the entire debris field. The orb then collapses on itself as the hyperdrive and everything nearby is sucked into hyperspace.
You gained 1 xp Pilot: Medium Spacecraf!

To your dismay the electrical components are pulled out into space, and then sent flying off into hyperspace by the drive implosion. To Doc's glee, the medical crate was not lost.

Just saying, I'm keeping a firm grip on my seat for when the cargo hatch opens up and sucks the sheetmetal, plasma cannon, hyperdrive, Org, starfighter wing, and crate of medical supplies out of the ship. It'll probably suck Emperor out too, since he's going to hit Org.
Well, I wasn't gonna be that harsh, but... I'll just leave it up to the random number god(s).

I look for articles with titles like "How To Survive Hyperspace" and "How to Avoid Getting Everyone on Your Ship Killed When You Try to Enter Hyperspace, and Look Cool at the Same Time."
|You punch in your search and amazingly locate both "How To Survive Hyperspace" and "How to Avoid Getting Everyone on Your Ship Killed When You Try to Enter Hyperspace, and Look Cool at the Same Time"! You read both, learning the basics of what it's like in Hyperspace. Hyperspace you find out, is a dimension attached to our own, only space is compressed. The odd thing about this is objects that enter Hyperspace are not compressed and remain the same size, thus allowing access to distance stars. You also learn that even if a successful jump is made, if the ship's shields are not at maximum there is a risk of what is known as "Hyperspacial Collision" aka traveling through clouds of microscopic dust particles at what should be speeds faster than light (only your going below the speed of light according to realspace). The results are not pretty. One final note you read is that a ship must be at the edge of a star system to make a jump. You continue searching but you stumble upon corrupted data! The databank shuts down and is in the process of rebooting. You are unsure how long that will take.

You then head back to the storage room and try to get anything valuable off the wing section. | You manage to remove a few pieces of sheet metal from the wing. Debris Field
A small debris field that seems to be the untouched remnants of a battle in the distant past. There are various starcruiser parts floating around, most seem to be heavily damaged or melted.

In Orbit Around Durgen
The only thing visible aside from the deeps of space and the planet itself is Durgen's moon, Giren. The moon seems to be mostly barren but it seems to have a thin, pinkish colored atmosphere. From orbit the night side of Durgen is visible. The only features visible are the lights from a few settlements.

Granted. You battle with it on a narrow bridge screaming, "You shall not pass!!" You strike the bridge and the & falls, apparently defeated. At the last second it strikes you with its fiery whip and you are pull in after it. You  battle for what seems an eternity before you strike it down. Shortly thereafter, you die from your wounds. Your soul is sent to the Valar and they judge that your are a n00b for letting yourself get killed by a practically defeated foe. You are sent to the halls of Mandos for eternity.

I wish for better math skillz.

Yeah, nothing like being held for ransom under threat of death, quite the inconvenience I'm sure.
