We look after a German Shepard called Krom. He looks like every other G-shep so I can identify him two ways: 1 he has a hemp rope collar, 2 he has a big ridge on top of his head

Yeah wait for a sale. As is it’s a pretty high quality TW game. The extra few months really helped iron out all of the bugs too.
The difficulty is on a different level to TW:W though. Surprisingly, it’s easier for dwarves to ally with humans than it is for Liu Bei and Liu Biao to get along. I’ve just attained a duchy and my coalition immediately threw me out.
In the fights, I’m not doing much better. Battle difficulty is turned pretty far down so anyone who knows how to turn flanks or back charge has a trivial time- except I just got attacked by Lu Bu and he made my army disappear.
Romance mode is crazy. I initially did about ten turns in romance mode, went “eh” and switched to records; and then discovered that generals have no abilities at all, not even rally or inspire. So, back to romance and apart from the scissors-paper-rock commander matchups, it’s pretty good.
Although i’ve got way too many off-brand legendary vanguards in my government now and I don’t want to put them all in the same army.

I’m finding the UI to be equal parts gorgeous and a little difficult to navigate. My first city managed to fill up entirely with agricultural buildings which give awesome bonuses to recruitment... except then I have no slots for conscription buildings.

Playing Mechanicus currently and some of the interactions are a little... ecclectic? A powerup which increases “all physical damage” doesn’t affect the “free push” tendrils which otherwise would have zero place on my melee character.
However, Servo skulls which from first glance start gaining a whole lot of useless abilities revolving around things other than gaining more AP turn out to be able to do their other things AND gain AP. They just impart their bonuses to whoever they happen to be following at the moment, and they’ll do their other stuff without switching follower, which was not intuitive at all either.
Not trial and error moves I wanted to be making on a max difficulty run but hey that’ll teach me to dry-run on max difficulty.

Believe me, it might be a cultural thing, but i’ve found that even suggesting a completely impossible hour is more likely to get something than something nebulous.

Haha it was a subtle snark for sure. Not even far enough to be passive aggressive.
But i’d have been pissed if I were in that situation. If you’ve gotta cancel, you cancel. But you don’t cancel after confirming.
That being said, “soft times” are silly. Rule 1, super busy people need rigid timelines. If it’s lunch, put forward an exact hour. You can be soft on when it happens from there, but they’ll usually suggest something else and it will go from that. Saying “i’m free all day” is an invitation to be ignored

Talking about One Piece.Heh. A random redditor doing a First Million Words project wrote a short story about shapeshifters who would turn into their spirit animal, and one turned into a human, becoming twice as human.
Someone said that the Human Human Fruit is the worst devil fruit. While it isn't the best fruit, and probably deserves a spot near the bottom, he said its because it is useless when eaten by a human.
It explicitly gives its user to speak all human languages, which, while not super useful, is far from useless.
And it theoretically doubles its users strength, durability, Etc., Though that is speculation.
In addition, unless the Jailer Beasts are not human, the Human Human Fruit is probably the best awakened zoan ( Of a non-mythic.), since it would not give you animal intelligence like the rest.
Definitely has a HFY angle, but I'd say it agrees with what you're saying. A human eating the human-human fruit would probably be a superperson.
