After suffering a bad case of bordimonia, I have decided to attempt to start an RTD.
"But there is enough RTD madness around." aye but in mine ye shall be siege by the undead and ghouls of the likes.
Undead boring you say? Nay I say for each and every wave shall consist of different kinds of unholy hell. No two waves will be the same.
"waves? what are you playing madman??" Yes waves, as in something in a typical defense flash game.
I send you a wave of hell, after the wave is over you will have one or maybe two turns to prepare for the next wave. The contents and density of the waves are decided by the die to mix it up abit.
"A defense game requires something to spice it up you know..." hmmm... you got me there... how about I make supplies limited and throw in a caravan after 2 or 3 waves?
"caravan? what age are you living in?" The players that join in will have to vote either modern or medieval-like and in either age it would require support to get to the make-shift fort in one piece.
"What you say about a fort?" There really isn't a fort, depending on age... you may have to build one up or make nearest building the fort.
"Wait...wouldn't this loose some freedom?"
Close but your placed in a situation were you have to defend depending the age the players vote, like defending homeland or by an officer in command, you could all leave the area if you want, more details whenever vote is decided.
"I guess it couldn't hurt to join.."
Alright, now give me a second to put in some required fields.
A single d6 die rules your fate.
1: Total epic fail. It gets much much worse...
2: Regular fail. You failed.
3: Sorta-did-the-job. You don't fail but you don't really succeed.
4: I did it! Success! Woot!
5: Success! The Best! Your better than the rest!
6: Over did it. Major understatement.
There will be no universe bending shit here.
But crazy shit can still be done.
The lvl of the skill/magic goes from lvl 1 being novice to lvl 5 being legendary, lvl6 is inhuman.
However I will not have magic as ultimate power, using any magic ( unless from items and such, unless noted) will cost you some of your "essence" or your spirit/soul. The power of the magic is determined by how much essence you have, but using it will drain it and draining it to a point will weaken your soul. It will only get to that point of weakened if you rapidly use magic before your essence regenerates or you use too much at one time.
There can be skills or magic that can tell you how much essence you have or if it's close to weakened state or how much you regenerate and such.
Qualities/Drawbacks are mostly features about your characters, like strong will, cowardry, honor, faith, scary and the such. Each quality/drawback may or may not give bonus, like say for example, having honor, you would gain +2 to interaction involving it or when socializing with people who understands it. BUT you will get penalties to the rolls that involve breaking them or when interacting with someone who hates that stuff and such.
Qualities and drawbacks are represented in levels up to 3.
Here's how it works: the higher the honor quality lvl the higher the bonus to the honor stuff but higher penalty to those breaking it.
Everyone gets up to 3 qualities or drawbacks if they so wish to have any.
There can be near limitless amounts of skills/magic/quality/drawback
Skills start getting bonuses at lvl 3 with a +1, and 4 a +2, at five you get a failsafe guard and only activates by players choice during their action post, replaces 1 with 2 and 6 with 5. but at lvl6 you get +3 and loose your failsafe, but in order to get to a lvl6 you'll most likely have to boost yourself or do the impossible or such..

Heavy, plate and such.(atleast a +1 defense but -1 movement/dodge)
Medium, leather, chain.
light, thick clothing, like robes or such.
Shield are divided in 3 also.
Buckler
Full shield
Tower shield (all tower shields have atleast a +1 to defense with it and -1 to movement/dodge)
I am not an expert in the ways of Game Master, so I will start low with 6 players. As game gets bigger and I gain enough GM levels I shall add in more player via caravan or reinforcement style.
People that want to join has to list their name, skills/magic, and a description of their characters role or history or some such.
Entries without the above are null and void.
You may edit your skills after vote is decided but not before the first turn.Like someone may have gotten sword skills( or the such) thinking they were going to medieval time but vote turned into modern).
So to prevent that the player has to declare they are ready or not ready.
Those that miss a turn is stuck with AI until they return, players may create their own AI if they wish and those that miss 3 or 4 in a row will be out.
