Congrats for the website!
Looking forward to see the next chapter of the story.
Hooray for the new website and for saving the fort with the RAM tool! I'm so glad you didn't lose Roomcarnage after all this time to a RAM issue rather than the fate it deserves--whatever that may be.
EDIT: My primary suggestion is to look into writing alt text for your images, and learning how to write good alt text.
Nice. Always glad to return to this amazing gem of a fort
Nice. Here's hoping everything goes well with the save transfer.
Chapter 69 has been posted.
Nice!
Tremendous! I had thought this series had faded away for good, as the dwarves caught in the evil mist, but was proven wrong. Thanks for another chapter, it was a great one
Oh wow, this was a pleasant surprise!
Roomcarnage is one of my favorites. Thanks for this!
Whether or not you post again, DS, I just want to thank you for creating this wonderful, really engaging and ambitious emergent story for all of us to read. It has been such a joy to discover, and to peruse again and again!

Big +1
Man I miss this. I been checking it periodically for years. I hope you have the ability to come back to it someday.

I wasn't aware of Wraith of Steam condensation, having never paused to look at the remains twice. I wonder, could one use it to get water in a fortress that has none? I suspect not - they'd need to be stockpilable for that, at the very least - but would need 333 pieces per 1/7, of course.
But if you're right about those parts harkening the end for anyone who treads there, the ennui of abandoned hell will only mean falling to the ghosts of the past.
Well, with your switchback unused you could try to route a cavern's worth of undead into it. Cave-ins seem like the best way to defeat the hordes now, since if I recall correctly magma isn't always effective against them in your version.
Thinking back about hell, isn't there a dead units cap that will cause nothing else to spawn? You're still getting cavern wildlife as noted by the success of your traps, so maybe not, but knowing Roomcarnage your hell is going to be empty.
Christmas came (two and a bit weeks) early this year, woo!

@DS: Once again I renew my offer to help you get set up on a GitHub Pages or S3 hosted site.
Has anyone preserved the story of Roomcarnage in a medium other than imgur posts?
...
I'm worried that someday this awesome story will simply be lost to time.
Hey there!
Any updates on either new hosting, or, dare I ask, the story?
Any news!?
After ten thousand years, I'm free! It's time toconquer Earthfinish Roomcarnage!
Just kidding - I've been supremely preoccupied with my day job, newly married life, two new kittens, and a few other creative projects.
I haven't been doing a great job keeping up with recent DF news, but it seems like an exciting time for the Dwarf Fortress community. I've been doing a far worse job keeping up with Roomcarnage story updates. I just finished recording the most recent chapter, and am starting the narration today. Hopefully I'll have it complete within a week or two, but this is already a very busy time of year for me (end of school year), so I would expect to finish this chapter by mid-June, at the very latest. But hopefully sooner.
