If it were a form of government or beaurocracy, wouldn't that imply there was government or beaurocracy in it? Technically it's not a form of either. D:

Uhm, that's fairly normal. I once talked my way out of 40 murders and twenty instances of treason, not to mention like, five instances of terrorism.

It requires extreme law skill, extreme persuasion skill and good charisma. All of which you have.

Basically, you're the best god damned lawyer in the world at that point.

I think things change during combat. Otherwise they'd be pretty useless as shields.

I wish one of the coders would clarify what does and what does not affect things on the LCS wiki. I'd edit it in myself, but I honestly have no idea how to fill it in properly. It requires good knowledge of how everything works in terms of issues. :/

In his defence; if the guy punching hit the man holding a gun to my head, I'd be worried the gun would go off, and possibly quite pissed off at the retard not understanding the situation...

I think his point is that it doesn't take that long to check for syntax errors, and that if you're contributing, don't make things messier - which sounds fair to me.

I don't think anyone here seriously thought they ended up on any government agency's watchlist because of discussions here, or that they ever could.

@Ampersand:

Certainly there can be laws and rules. Just no one in specific to enforce or create them. The lawlessness is implied because of humanity's shortcomings, not the shortcomings of anarchy. There is no implication in anarchy that there has to be violence, confusion or similar. These are the traits we bring to anarchy, not the traits anarchy bring to us.

It's not viable at this stage though, obviously.

Incorrect. An anarchist society can have rules. The only requirement is that there is no government.

Anarchy comes from the Greek anarkhia, which means without government. It is by no means another word for barbarism.

China is a more modern version of a republic (1 October 1949). Except it's not really liberal, just oppressive and cruel. Strange how that works...

I suspect we could find a great deal of examples that show republics are overall less liberal than constitutional monarchies.

Although the idea was good, it's just not right.

Why not just call the most liberal form a democracy, or a socialist democracy?
