Seems to have done the trick, thanks :D

Is it a bug that stone isn't binnable or is Toady just punishing us for our sins? :P

DF Gameplay Questions / Stone Stockpiling

It feels as though I spend most of my time managing the stockpiling of mined stone and my Dwarves seem to stubbornly oblivious of the bins I produce. Are there any solutions?

This going to sound really newbish, but it's been just under a year since I was last into DF and I honestly can't remember how to fully use this, I seem to remember there being an 'easy guide' for this but I can't find it in the first post.

We're making pretty good progress actually imo, so relax Kipi, I don't think people will mind if it's a day or so late. Except maybe breadbocks.

I noticed a little bug with the set attributes and skills buttons.  If you decide to cancel setting all attributes/skills to a certain level, it maxes them out.  It's not a huge problem, you just reload your dwarves without saving the changes.  However you loose any other changes you didn't save. :-\
I noticed this to, fortress of super-Dwarves :P

Thanks for the advice.  I found Turambar's awesome Middle Earth (thanks, T) so will be using that instead of my poor effort, but I foresee spending a lot of time with this program.  ;)
Please link/explain? :D

Life Advice / Re: Smoking

Steam inhalation does have health benefits actually http://www.home-remedies-treatment.com/blog/benefits-of-steam-inhalation/ although I seriously doubt it has a intoxicating effects that the OP is looking for.

In terms of serious advice; Don't smoke, exercise (hypocritical advice), lead a healthy lifestyle (also hypocritical), eat good food and DON'T SMOKE.

Can Runesmith be used to keep merchants from leaving?
Yes, when I tried it the macedwarf I kept behind just moped around at the edge of the map doing nothing for years, not even eating sleeping or drinking.

I hope previous rulers have been managing excess stone to keep down fps issues.

*tries to imagine fortress without masonry*
