yes, I would imagine so anyway.

This is going pretty awesomely, loads of created wealth already. Shame the lyer/cutter guy was possessed, a legendary gem cutter would have been somewhat useful.

Edit: I can see the design style so far is very different to mine.
breadbocks, you might want to think about dealing with the excess stone lying around to cut down on fps issues later on, the longer we leave the stone disposal stuff the harder it'll get.

How can you download .09? I thought it wasn't released yet.
You can't. And it isn't.

Good job so far! Can't believe I had to bail on this fortress...just like 2 more weeks and I'll have my computer!
You finally getting your much needed upgrade?

I still find the image of a squad of marksdwarves charging into melee combat swinging their crossbows hilarious.

EDIT: ranged weaponry fixed as of .09 http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/

^It's this sort of thing that makes me look forward to breadbock's in character writing.

@Marzen+Snook; If you haven't done this sort of thing before then maybe that's why you both feel uninspired, people generally don't feel happy with their writing (or anything for that matter) if they're in unfamiliar territory. If you have done this sort of thing before then maybe the fort's just been relatively boring so far XD.

Toady, when will you  let people make their own TYPES of settlements for the civs to use?
Instead of posting an obnoxious comment in a thread that isn't relevant, why don't explain exactly what you mean by 'types of settlement' and even post your ideas as a thread in the suggestions sub forum in a way that is helpful and useful. Saying 'WHY HAVEN'T YOU DONE X??11!!' usually pisses of people when they've worked hard over something.

there is a vanish flag in Runesmith if you have that much of a grudge with them.

still why do that when you could tame and use them for your own needs.
nothing like having a mini army of titans ready to attack on your command (might need slavery enhancer to swap between the race in military to fill them in.).

what runesmith needs is a Heal section so one could revive some dead person and end up with a ghost of them(no body parts when rez).
^This. If it's possible, the ability to resurrect dead dwarves would be brilliant, Sizeak.

Can I be dorfed and added to the playing order if that's ok with you? I did ask to join in a couple of pages ago in case you didn't see my post. Hoping I'm not seeming too whiney here.  ::)

Bad news. I implemented setting the mood skill and it still causes them to go berserk if you set a mood. I'm guessing you need them to have mood materials to, however these aren't present unless it's a real mood and currently its not something that can be set.
That's a shame, It's a thing I was really looking forward to doing. But will it be possible to change the materials required for a dwarf already in a mood? Becuase not having berzerk/stark raving/melancholy dwarves due to lack of shells would be awesome.

Nice work implementing position changing btw.

It seems to stop working if I mod the raws. :/
