o:

I really didn't expect that. Thanks so much!
I can see this game helping me through some rough days in the near future, so I really appreciate it.

Eh...In retrospect, I guess it was a stupid question to ask. Wadjet and Coatl amount to "Green One" and "Serpent" in their respective languages so it only makes sense that "Winged Snake" in English is "Winged Snake". I'll stick to Wyrm as it's the closest thing that sounds remotely exotic.
Bit late, but also found this guy, which is described as a "winged snake" half the time, though most of the pictures seem to give it chicken legs.

When one of my rats kept getting loose, she'd wander around the house until she found a sleeping human to cuddle into bed with. Some of those humans were less impressed by this than others.

Made me kinda worried for her safety, but at least we'd always find her. She was a good rat. ):

I've mentioned it before, and it's maybe a bit into "so bad it's good" territory, but there's an Xbox360 game called "Operation Darkness" that is just too ridiculous to not love at least a little bit unironically.

It's a tactical RPG set in WWII with supernatural elements. It's a game where you can transform into a werewolf wielding a bazooka and use it to blow up enemy tanks and nazi vampires (werewolf bazooka is stronger than human-form bazooka of course). It's a game where you can use white-haired pretty boy Jack the Ripper to shank skeletons from 5 squares away. Shoot fireballs at snipers. Try to assassinate Hitler (spoilers: He is magic.) It does all this while doing its best at playing the story dead straight with serious drama and lots of very british voice acting.

It was apparently pretty much panned due to terrible graphics and an overall veneer of shittiness, and actually playing it is, admittedly, a bit of a slog, but it's still one of the best $9.99s ever jokingly spent for me by a friend.

Also your medic is named Herbert East. :P

Ah, my heart...
I think sharp stinging heart pains are probably bad?
Augh.

If I stop breathing it doesn't hurt as much. Like a cramp.
I have heart-cramps.

Really though, it's probably this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precordial_catch_syndrome

aka "Chest pains for no reason that go away on their own and don't really mean anything syndrome".

I could actually probably use a visual novel or two soon, since I can't currently use a controller/mouse/keyboard heavily for long periods...
I assume the controls aren't too intensive?

I've read the rules and would like to enter, thanks.

I've been on and off for months and i've got no further then the orcish mines.
I've been playing on and off for 6 years and I've yet to reach Zot.

To be fair, I'm apparently just incredibly terrible at this sort of game. At least it's continually getting easier, so eventually I might meet it in the middle. (note: I am slightly bitter about this)

Anybody want some Mews? The guy at GameStop gave me 3 cards for some reason.
I'd happily take two, if the offer still stands...

Is there a redeem-by date?

Yeah, they all need batteries to hold a save, and Pokémon GSC specifically had their batteries all go kaput years ago because the real time clock drained them more than usual.
A lot of old cartridge games in general are probably getting iffy on that front by now.

I also once bought a brand new GBA game that probably had a faulty battery, couldn't hold a save.

I wish bats weren't too tiny and flimsy to hug.

spent about half of both days just wandering Raleigh
For some reason I mentally parsed that as "R'lyeh" while reading this post and was momentarily disoriented.

Evolution happens across generations, not just time.
A given insect species has been through thousands or millions more generations than we have.

419
This train of thought also means that bacteria and bugs are vastly more highly evolved beings than humans.

Medabots why. You're suppose to be like Robot Beyblade. THIS DOES NOT BELONG IN ROBOT BEYBLADE D:

Bit late, but oof. My sister's really involved in the English-speaking Medarot fandom (runs the wiki, works on translation projects) and now she's conflicted about whether or not to buy this one. She's pre-ordered all the other recent games (Medarot 9 just came out, I think) and she's pretty invested in the new robots coming with this one, but it's also a bit too creepy.

It's actually a really long-running series (has at least 12 RPGs and a few action games) so it's... disappointing it's suddenly veering off in this direction.
