The site is never coming back up. Sandy was Hussie's plan from the beginning, a last mad attempt at destroying the beast he'd created before he'd have to see it to its grisly conclusion.

Even as the event bears down I'm at a loss for what to write. I've been considering an idea of a mercenary with a head too big for his shoulders, and a local farmboy with a tongue too sharp for his own good going on a long quest to get a strange book that seems to erase people out of existence translated. It'd basically be a comedy.

Either that or something closer to an expanded bedtime sort of story about a young wizard in a magical academy accidentally creating a creature that sucks all the magic out of a wizard through their dreams. This creature was created at midnight. So, chaos naturally ensues on a madcap chase through surreal, magically-infused dreamlands.

Porrim's introduction and some of the dialogue from her and Kanaya in the flashes seems to suggest that it's not so much becoming undead, as a natural defense mechanism in jadebloods to essentially be able to survive a high painful or traumatic incident that would kill other trolls. Since they have one of the most important jobs in their entire species, and it sounds as if they're rather rare, I imagine that genetically jadebloods would be given every advantage they could in survival, to continue caring for their Grubs.

Well, first off if Gamzee seriously is working for English, I'll say first that I'm positing that he's the new Doc Scratch equivalent. He's behind the scenes, doing the sneaky chucklevoodoo things. And English/Scratch's plans have been known to revolve around creating conflict pretty heavily. So by capitalizing on the teenagerdom of the trolls and messing with their already tumultuous relationships by putting groups against one another would be a conceivable bit of modus operandi.
