VPN powaaaaa: Skyrim unlocked, installed and ready to be played. I loaded it just to see the menu (no CTD, that's neat). Now I just need to leave my office earlier today. 8)

Thank you for the save, and thank you for Spoutcraft. :)

Will check out tectonicus later (after the dragons hunt, so later this year).

System Shock 2. Had to stop playing before I found the first enemy from how scared I was ;)
Oh god, that game.
I still can hear "We Are" in my head, thinking of the enemies.

Bioshock is a watered-down System Shock 2. The former, a decent game. The latter, easily one of the top 10 games I've ever played. I'm told Bioshock 2 is just a poor rehashing of the original. Unfortunately, pretty much the only way to get SS2 these days is through pirating/abandonware, unless you trust buying overpriced used PC CD-ROMS online.
Don't forget that there's an awesome collection mod which adds tons of tweaks, fixes and up-scaled textures and sounds. It should be easily found on the web.
Bioshock was just an "elven retreat" compared to SS2. SS2 was the "fun circus".

I'm currently testing the game. The above sentence sold me the game. :P

Dungeons of Dredmor, without a doubt.

[shameless recruitment]

Oh, by the way, applications for the Nations at War server are once again opened. Apply if you're interested in joining B12's dwarf nation, Hammersong. We need dedicated players. :)

Sadly, I won't be able to join in on the fun after all. I found out earlier this evening that, for whatever reason, my computer can't run Minecraft for more than about 10 minutes without crashing. In browser, download; doesn't matter. It didn't use to be this bad, so I can only conclude that the new version doesn't agree with my system.
Do you have a recent computer and the "Not enough memory" crash? If so just install Java 64bits.

don't worry, school happens. I just wondered what happened since people seemed to disappear suddenly.

I'll still need ideas for that landscaping project. I don't know how I could use it  :-\
I'm a little busy too, so I should be back on the server this week-end.

I can't play this. Not in this state, at least. It looks like it has potential but the game is a bit of a mess (as is expected in any prerelease)
Huh? I disagree. The game has already a lot of content and is quite polished, as I think I just met one bug in something like 6 hours.
It may look like a mess, but I can assure you it is not.

My minecraft is leaking memory. A lot of it. I can't play for more than 5 minutes straight. I already tried reinstalling, forcing update, running the jar allocating more memory to the vm... any thoughts?
Try to install Java 64 bits. This solves my problem with the "Not enough memory" I was encountering with MC at max (fog at the max distance) on my new laptop.

@Lord Snow
Use the dungeon map. You can make it appear if you press ',' or ';' (something like that). The blinking yellow dot indicates the room where you're going and the diamond dot indicates where you are.
___

I attained lvl 12 earlier, but my inability to find books actually despairs me. I use the same spells as the ones I used when I started this character.

Btw, the best way to train is to wait for mini-bosses to attack towns. You can pass turns in the strategic (lvl 3) or management mode (lvl 6).

Does someone know what to do with the resources scattered on the map in the strategic mode? I already killed some guardians, but I don't know what to do next.

That makes sense... EMAIL AWAY!!!!!!!!!
This email is as cryptic as ever. I think it's a good test to identify good players for the server.

[Hrm, does this mean that you failed the first test? :P]

I'm for the inception of the city in a new themed project map. But no creative mode, it spoils all effort.

Ok, I should try to play N@W and PH in parallel. And did someone figure how to make the ~Wave~ work?

One of my favourite game of 2011. Just awesome. Awesome graphics, awesome ideas, awesome musics.

The beta alpha works like a charm. It's quite bare but looks promising. The graphics are good-looking.

You can dig using the left-click and you can build using the right-click and WASD, especially W and S which makes the cursor go closer or farther (the cursor is invisible if underground). You can also "paint" the stone in bricks or purple bricks (?) using O and P when looking at them.

You can go fullscreen but you need to modify the setup.txt in the game folder.

Ninja edit: Oh yes, it's an alpha. *corrects*
