I find it hard to fathom that anyone takes the Genesis myth with anything approaching seriousness. It's obviously just a creation myth of the same vein as the thousands of others throughout history.

I don't look at peoples' sigs usually, but given that he apparently has instructions for it, maybe I should have. Thanks.

Anyone know how to make Aurora playable on small screens? I'm stuck using my 13" laptop at the moment. It has a 1080p resolution, so that isn't the issue, but the windows still don't fit on the screen. Any tips?

Hi everyone, i'm the developer of Battleship Commander.

Anyone figured out how to use the in-game console? I kind of want to see if there's a command to just give myself lots of money, because I want to dick around with the best ship I can make to see what's possible.
Add the line "dev_mode true" to configuration.txt. Then you can use left ctrl+k to add credits.

Welcome! And thank you. This game is awesome so far.

If you don't mind, can I ask some questions about where you plan to take this?

Will there be some sort of technological progression as time goes on? For instance, moving on from nuclear reactors to perhaps fusion or antimatter down the line?

How big do you plan for the universe to be? One solar system, or multiple?

Any plans to add a multiplayer component?

Thanks in advance!

(Also, pirate cruisers are scary as hell.)

Edit: Forgot to mention, for an experiment I added Uranus and Neptune to the Sol system to see if they'd show up. They do, yay. They have proper mass values and orbits. Here's the .rar if you're interested; I included the Uranus and Neptune textures as well.

I do agree with Pwnzerfaust in that it's a bit suspect to be an early buyer of anything in today's gaming industry. It seems that most games offer more content and less bugs for a cheaper cost if you're willing to wait a bit.

Exactly. I mean, I want to believe that Firaxis has learned its lessons with Civ V, but until they can prove they have, I'm not gonna take it on faith.

232
I'm just not eager to play any of the factions offered.

Besides, the history of Civ V has made me apprehensive about being an early buyer. Civ V was a disaster at launch (in my opinion, it's still inferior to Civ IV, but that's another debate for another day), so I'd rather wait til they iron out the bugs, of which I'm sure there'll be plenty.

It annoys me that there's no faction with ties to the United Kingdom.

It annoys me that there's no faction having to do with Germany.

I'm really hoping for a DLC "North European Federation" or something, consisting of Germany and Scandinavia. UK can come too I guess, if they play nice.

Until such a thing exists, I'm gonna refrain from buying.

Did you load ammunition? Are you at an alert level at which they are online? Did you put turret engines on them?

Played this briefly last night. First impression is, holy shit, this is awesome. Can't wait to see where they go with this.

Eh, the fact that everyone knows it's malf hasn't stopped me from winning every single time. And I'm not even a murderboner.

Whaaaat, Hazeron is gone? Are you shitting me?

I've got a question. Will there be technological advancement? Obviously the game generates a whole solar system, including atmospheres for the various planets. Does that mean we will at some point have the means to visit them?

This sounds awesome. Space Station 13, very yes.
