Dollar for dollar, you'll get much, much more bang for your buck with a PC than a Mac.
For instance, take the 27-inch iMac. 3.2 ghz Intel Core i3, 4 gb RAM, 1 TB HD, and an ATI HD 5670 1gb DDR3 GFX card. It costs $1,700.
I just bought a new PC (well, bought parts and assembled) for $1650. It has a 3.06 ghz Intel Core i7 950, 12 gb RAM, 1 TB HD, and an nVidia GTX 560 1gb GDDR5 GFX card.
More bang for hte buck.

Skills: Axedwarf and similar such combat skills (Armor user etc.)... Also perhaps smithing or carpentry? Whatever you need, really.
Personality: Excitable, enthusiastic about fighting, something like that.
Anything else: ADAMANTINE AXE PLZKTHX

... I just had a really weird bug. I tried starting a fortress, and whenever I tried to use the location finder, DF crashed. But I figured, okay, fine, I can deal with that, and ended up manually finding a nice quiet spot to settle. And then when I hit embark and went to prepare for the journey, my "Dwarves" were... forgotten beasts. Eyeless, six-legged crocodile forgotten beasts.
Oh, nevermind, I found my problem. I copied the directory wrong. Instead of outright replacing the raw/object folder, I just copied over it.

Mmkay, put me over toward the west flank and have me fire on targets of opprtunity, particularly exposed infantry that is engaging our own infantry. Or counter battery fire, that works too.

Wait what? How does a 20 year old get grounded?
