How can anyone, responding to a message, misspell your name when it was right in front of them (2-4 lines away from the response bar), in proper spelling, in bold letters and the like?

It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine: Misspelling/mispronouncing my (real) name, despite hearing/reading it a million times, and me correcting once in awhile, and they still insist they're saying/spelling it correctly; regardless it's my f***ing name. This, taken to ridiculous levels, and is one of the most absurd examples, actually just happened recently.

I know they probably didn't mean to be rude or anything by it, but how can you screw up a name that badly when it's right in front of you? I think they have Perception as a dump stat. It's like asking what the sale price of an item at a grocery store is, while the big sign in huge bold letters and numbers, at their eye-level, is displaying it no more than a foot away from them (they can't miss it). Just needed to let that out of my system.

Just aced the City. Improved a few of my past times as well (totaling about 6 seconds of time off across 20 levels). Nice to know my FPS skills haven't gotten any rust on them quite yet.

EDIT:
And now we can add the Village (World 2) to that list of Aced. WOO! That one was even more menacing.

Well, so much for next week's hurricane party.

In all seriousness, I hope everyone north of me fares well with the storm. They're fun when you can handle them.

I think I can wait a month. First to get a general idea of how it goes, and also because the game presented doesn't catch my attention right now; and also because I need to accumulate some funds anyhow, and start investing in a VR-ready machine to replace my current machine, which has served me well for it's decade of service so far.

EDIT:
Just noticed Speedrunners is on sale right now (5 bucks), and also a free weekend thing as well. Anyone up for some crazy-awesome racing?

Additional note, it also recently updated with some changes to some levels, and more music tracks that play while racing.

EDIT EDIT:
Expect to see my avatar doing that <--- plenty of times (depending on skill).

Let's watch a full-grid race with Reliant Robins.

...Or not.

As par for my luck, just as the moon is ready to begin it's eclipse, a storm is right nearby to cover it during the entire eclipse, and pass (according to the weather map) right when it's over. Given it's a blood moon, is that a good omen or a bad omen? Either way, what BS. >:(

Kat is looking pretty awesome; besides the 50 days incapacitated. She can always carry a few flasks of dangerous/toxic fluids for some ranged combat (melt her targets), or to soften up tougher enemies, and have the claws as a secondary melee attack.

The world could be ending tonight (Google "September 23 2015" or "Wave X") so I hope you guys are as drunk as I am. We gotta give life as we know it a good send off.
In case the world really does end, at least I got a beer. In case it doesn't, at least I got a beer.

Yeah. When I was drawing, I was kinda doing that with very limited lighting (took up a challenge with my night vision; turned out better than I thought for how dark it was when I worked on it), and the motions of the car I was in, not to mention, working with the sketch pad on my lap, and working with weight shifts as well. Doesn't help that I did use guidelines (which I almost never do) to ensure consistency.

As for the design overall, they're a binary structure mod. Parts mounted on the outside, custom interface/interaction on the inside (or another mod that augments from the inside, like advanced tracker units/CPUs for the turrets, or manual control pods if you can;t trust your AI); plus, the mod ports are also open in this picture (mainly if there are single-piece plug-n-play units (in which case, you can also double-mod, with an interior and exterior mod sharing the same slot). Sure, the plugs are ugly as sin, but think of the possibilities; plus, if you want clean sleek lines and the like, or aerodynamic mods, I can always design aesthetic kit sets to make your midnight racer look all fancy and the like (I have considered racer models for this craft as well)).

When I design, I design for fun. So what if it has a few design flaws that may clash with the aesthetic appeal? In my reality, where these things are concerned, people pay as much attention to those as a gas cap. Unless the door is missing (which they are open/missing) would they be an eye sore, but when closed it actually looks sleek. Plus, I mentioned that the flares and a few turrets use up a couple of them, hiding the outlets anyway. Modular/moddable things aren't necessarily the prettiest things/features, but they do make designs more fun to tinker with, depending on the purpose. If you want some designs ugly as sin, you ought to check out my WFAO (Weapon For All Occasions) line of weapons, which at times, tend to resemble a MacGuyver-equivalent (with similar budget applied) of the ZF-1 from The Fifth Element. But yeah, I design mostly for myself when make these things.

Given the critiques, I got an interesting idea I don't mind applying at times. Intentionally make jarring/bad design choices for certain things, and use them as a weapon of mass distraction for certain cases. If it can bug my enemy/targets or whatever, it may make an opening for an attack because it just irks them that much once they notice. Longshot as it sounds, but a funny opening to make for an attack.

I gotta get back to doing some art again. During my trip north, I did at least make another model upgrade/update to a classic sketch of mine. A Barracuda Dropship (looks similar to the fish, and is just as vicious in combat as it's troops it carries and it's namesake). It's moddable, and would have alternative versions of the craft for different purposes, so plenty capable of multi-role purposes other than just being a dropship. Like a Hammerhead variety would be an Assault mod, or a bulk build can work as a construction craft, codenamed "Bumblebee" due to how clunky it looks post-modding (also making use of Black and Yellow construction colors; why not?). I'll upload it eventually. Done.

I can further refine the idea when I try to build it 1:1 scale, to code (chassis and up), in Minecraft. Half the fun in my designs has to be engineering them.

EDIT:

Well, in any case, it's nice to see this alive and well again; and for GC's sake, being taken over by someone she can trust.

Might as well contribute some hugs into the pile as well.

Thanks for reviving the thread, and starting it in the first place.

I wish you well, and hope that all the happiness you've helped us express and the like help remind you that you have made a positive impact on someone somewhere, and all that jazz. You know where I'm getting at with all this.

I know how meaningless this may sound, but when whatever's gotten you down is over with, we'll still be here to welcome you back whenever you decide to. May not be soon, may not be later, but whenever. As long as you're okay, that's good enough for us.

Here's something else to help. Just something to keep in mind in the meantime.

General Discussion / Re: Things that made you sad today thread.

Sad to see the Happy thread close down. Got enough other crap going on as it was, thought I'd get a nice pick-me-up, and show off some of my trip while at it. About the sad stuff/annoying crap, not really willing to disclose details, mainly to not have it perpetuate itself by mentioning it. Plus, I'm already getting over it.

In any which case, I hope you feel better Gunner-Chan. Shit happens; we can either have it smell up the place, or turn it into fertilizer, and make it useful, or throw it into a fan, and watch it... eh, nevermind.

Anyway, I hope you feel better, regardless what happens. Whether you return or not, live on, if possible.

EDIT:
It lives again?! Thanks. And I still mean what I say. Live on, regardless. I've been through Hell, and still came out the other side of it, forged by the flames, not burned by them. I let those flames burn off impurities and/or slag them off.
