What can be awesome for vehicles and such would be to implement the Mindstorms sets. That can add some flexibility to the mix.

Taking a crack at reading the tilde abuse: "IT HASN'T EVEN BEGUN".

What do I win?

Super-sized Jenga is always a fun game. Cleaning it up, however, not so much.

Other Games / Re: Help: good "Lovecraft-ian" games?

Quake's always a good Lovecraft-Lite game to blast through; classic FPS. You go from military installation into an elder world and face off against a few big and nasties. For the most fun, I recommend playing on Hard Mode. Nothing like being chased by a pair of shamblers down a hall, getting blasted by lightning in the process, and having a fiend you forgot about cornering you in the process, with a chance you also forgot about a bolt-firing trap getting you in the process as well (which can also be used against said pursuers).

However, in one of the expansion packs, having a pet shambler wreak havoc on an elder tower packed with monsters, I loved having that big fuzzy ugly bastard on my side for once, instead of gibbing it. He tore, and blasted, through the ranks like they were made of wet coffee filters.

EDIT:
Always fun to do. In any level where zombies and piranha inhabit the water, cheat yourself a lightning gun and invulnerability, and just fire the gun while you're in the water, and clear out the entire area in a single discharge. Hold tab to watch the kill numbers sky-rocket. Much more entertaining if done during a multiplayer match, and you survive. Even 1 cell of ammo is enough to pull it off, just to take a few down with you (mainly if there's a good number of players online, when it's done).

This is page 600 for me...
I have 300. Neat, a nice round number for each of us.

Came across an AMA with Mr. Torgue. Pretty funny to read through, especially when hearing in his voice as you read the comments.

One of my favorites:

WAIT TILL THEY GET CLOSE THEN LET LOOSE WITH A TORGUE SHOTGUN AND PLAY AROUND IN THE BLOOD CONFETTI

It's an excellent ringtone to scare the crap out of anyone trailing behind you; especially for a long period of time.

Surrealism I made in art class today.
That's pretty neat.

Got to see the enders game movie finally. Not the worst, definitely, and amusing.
Why do they use spaceships like battering rams?
Because it's fucking awesome (not Ender's Game, but still awesome).

Just beat a nice classic tonight. Nothing like blasting through an underground base, and thoroughly looting it (making all characters max-level as well), and completely owning it so much (including a 100% map coverage), I managed to loot a kitchen, so to speak, on the way out before the self-destruct ran out.

I miss making statements out of the codes, like "Why You Love Bomb?" (7 4 2 5), or "Why You Bomb 'Em?" (7 4 5 1) or even "66 Ate 'Em, You" (6 3 1 4). Kept me entertained throughout the game. Made the codes easier to memorize as well; even better since the order of the input didn't matter, as long as all the characters were typed in, the doors opened.

Zillion for the Sega Master System, if you're wondering. Used to have the original. Actually, I might still have the cartridge (and numerous others, Including the sequel Zillion II: The Tri-Formation, After Burner, Maze Hunter 3-D, Missile Defense 3-D and Blaze Eagle 3-D, Outrun, Alien Syndrome, Hang-On/Safari Hunt, Ghostbusters, Gangster Town, Spy vs. Spy, and so on), but not the original system anymore. What a classic console.

EDIT:
For additional challenge, escape the base with a Level-1 Champ. It is brutal, but not impossible. I've done it before. Extra-brutal; do it on the original console, or play through without savestates (classic Ironman), and finish it that way. Only savestate I made was so I could do the final boss/escape whenever I feel like.

Would be cool to see an updated version of this game. Bring back a classic challenge.

A client from when I first started freelancing (and stopped for a good while) just contacted me for more work. Didn't expect it at all, but nice to know I'm still a contact for work for old clients. Hopefully it's something I can do, that can also bring in some much-needed income.

Hey long time. How're you doing?

General Discussion / Re: The Bay 12 Superhero project

The Feline Torch
A cat able to set itself ablaze hotter than the sun. May also inspire other cats to do the same, setting ablaze anything and everything, anywhere and everywhere. Irresistibly cute for maximum contact and coverage when set alight. Recommended not to cage with numerous others, unless intentional as a trap for other superheroes.

Concept inspired by the Thermonuclear Catsplosion and Fantastic 4.

After having worked a few 9-5 jobs, then finally working freelance, have you ever had a weird guilty feeling that you shouldn't be doing nothing, even though there's nothing wrong with it (especially because you wanted to take a day off)? Probably the most annoying feeling I've gotten since I've started. Anyone else have this issue?

Then again, maybe it's just a force of habit thing that I must always be working regardless. So many free days wasted because "I MUST ALWAYS BE BUSY" keeps running in my head like a compulsion; with, of course, a side-effect of feeling worthless when nothing's been done at all (idling out, whereas I could have been even working on some backlogs). Of course, these days I'm working harder looking for work, than any actual work being done. Thank goodness I have some games to fill in my time as I seek work. For the sake of others, I wish I could be more creative during my downtime, but I have yet to be motivated to do something of the sort to fill in the time more properly.
