I swear, this song will be playing in my head for days. Even the violin fiddle in the song is awesome.

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid post/common repeat.

I don't know if this has been noted or not (not going through all those pages to check), but if this was an intended feature, I applaud at the convenience.

Upon rolling the mousewheel up or down while in play, the visible area/font/tile size gets adjusted.

I love it! ;D, not to forget, playing 12x12 maps at 50 FPS is a godsend! SUPER-MEGAPROJECTS AHOY! (also a reason why zooming is noted)

I'll try to go for a full 16x16 area embark sooner or later to really test it out.

(Will vote after more thoroughly testing out; but so far, no prob.)

For anyone curious, I just need a break from everything for awhile, don't worry, I'll continue after it passes. Plus, who knows? Maybe I'll think up something interesting to do with that glorious glowing rock. ;D

I was thinking, having refined and placed in a proper detonation chamber, fused with the crystals in a unique setup could geometrically improve the explosive mass to guarantee that nothing of even adamantium standards could survive. It could either wipe out the world, or even a ship made of even adamantium. But such a ship would be of precursor standards that would be difficult to find, and even so, just merely having that standing alone could win a war. That is, at least, if you have an obsidian shield with magma orbs keeping it united together around it; or at least, keeping an impenetrable shield to access it together. For protection standards of course.

But then again, obliterating such a thing of beauty would be of the foolish mind of a mere human and several other races banded together out of tyranny. But let's think back to now, and forever. We have no need to worry about silly hunams.

Heh, I appreciate the amount of attention this is getting; I just visited right now and noticed this has just hit the 5000 mark (by my experience so far, that's pretty nice) think I should do something as a tribute to it? Sort of like a benchmark thing? Or is it an overplayed trope? 'Cause, I don't really have any ideas right now to celebrate, aside from maybe putting in one more update before my hiatus next week.

1-Create a building over a single support, only 1 room.
2-Create a moat under it, leaving only the ground tile the support is at.
3-Construct a magma-safe atom-smasher drawbridge inside.
4-Put some tame lions/war dogs/hippos/elephants inside.
5-Put some booze barrels inside.
6-Drop prisoners inside.
7-Let your beasts maul them to oblivion.
8-Before everyone dies, flood the room with magma.
9-Watch as the booze barrels boil and explode.
10-Atom-smash everything.
11-Pull the level that destroys the single support holding the room.
12-Watch the glorious cave-in.
13-Watch as the magma falls into the moat encasing everything in obsidian.
14-????
15-Profit!

This is the single most dwarfy thing i've thought of in ages.

Sorry for lack of updates, I owe you about 3 comics.

Im just going to state the truth, Life happened. So ya im pretty much all over the board lately. I'll attempt to get another comic up this week. Feel free to make fan art... if I have any fans after 15 comics XD
I feel for you man, I had life hit me pretty hard; along with my internet carping up seriously. It's a miracle I fixed it; but I need some recovery time, you know, work and all...

I'm going to take a bit of a hiatus next week if possible to recuperate; despite an update or 2 to toss in. Fortunately, with autumn finally coming in, work should slow down enough for me to finish up with my fey mood.

Please excuse my lack of response. I have hell to deal with connecting online.

Updating intermittently to stay on. For no reason, I keep losing all connection everytime I try to update. Trying to solve.

Tried everything I could think of, not much luck.

Restarts are required to revive connections. Need help! Excuse my request.

Aftermath:
Okay, I think I finally fixed it. After running every spyware/antivirus/antitrojan on my system (that I could think of and etc.), I finally eliminated all that can be spotted; took ages to nab them all. With all that I had, I'm surprised this didn't occur earlier, or that my compy overloaded with viruses to the point of affecting reality. Ironically, I run a weekly scan. :-\

Viruses = very yes, indeed.

Seeing how ridiculously late it is, I'll FINALLY update tomorrow night after whenever possible (grr). But now, I can finally continue, everything's good now. Thank you for your patience. Uh, how are you?


BTW: The ship is beginning to look awesome; even though it's still only framework.

I made a recent botch in my plans. It turns out that a reason for a good share of a lack of ore processing and glassmaking was because I forgot to reduce the minimum skill requirement for the shops to be used for a good portion of time (a minimum of 2 seasons at least). I had quality standards, until some ambushes later.

It kinda hindered parts of my production of my ship. but at least my dwarves got focused on the project more, in a way; but still... :facepalm:

Quite simple. But I use it for aesthetic effect for my project, but I think it could work; just be sure to use a regular door, seeing as this could work constantly, and you don't want any leaks.

A single-tile-wide bridge over a chasm. Made of soap. Noble accomodation on one side, noble dining on the other.

Arrow-catching soap fortifications.

Soap floors inside the entrance, so mud, blood, and vomit aren't tracked indoors.
And for noble execution, make sure some waterskins are also set at a decent height above the soap bridge to surprise the noble crossing the bridge. And how! Waterballoons and slippery-when-wet floors (especially made of soap) have to become a feature sometime. This could just spell comedy in the future. Of course, it could be adjusted in the init files, just in case it becomes too inconvenient. Plus, for adventuring and whatnot, it could also make anyone more cautious crossing steep landscapes (wet muddy floors). Tread carefully. ;)

Making bone weapons, and picking up a sharp stone off the ground,get a branch,and rip out someones tendon to make a stone axe/spear.And wearing skulls, ripping off elf skin to make a blood holding gourd and flood the Major rivers with damn blood. Example to some:
You pick up the sharp stone
You pick up the branch
You rip out that guys tendons
CONGRATS YOU MADE A STONE AXE/SPEAR THING
Now, all we need is an Urist MacGuyver theme.
